(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

2. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Xueping Sentenced to Two Years in Prison

7. [Xingning City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xie Yujun Arrested and Detained
8. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Xu Ruixiong Arrested
9. [Beijing] Four Practitioners Arrested
10. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Ping and Her Mother Arrested
11. [Jianyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhou Honggui Arrested

1. [Shen County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Jinyue Taken to ICU
Ms. Wang Jinyue from Xinzhuang Village in Weizhuang Township was arrested on November 29, 2023, and was later sentenced to 10 months in prison. She was sent to the Jinan City Prison.
Ms. Wang was taken to the ICU in Jinan Hospital around mid-April 2024, and she is in critical condition.
2. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Xueping Sentenced to Two Years in Prison
Ms. Yang Xueping from the Seed Farm was sentenced to two years in prison by the Linghai City Court around April 2024. She was admitted to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison.
3. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhu Jingrong Faces Trial
Ms. Zhu Jingrong, 78, from the Beibei District received a call from the Jiangbei District Court on April 23, 2024, informing her that she would be tried at 9 a.m. on May 8, 2024.
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Hong Guimei Faces Trial
Ms. Hong Guimei, in her 70s, will be tried on April 28, 2024. Ms. Hong was arrested by officers in the Hongshan District on July 26, 2023.
5. [Huimin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Cui Airong Sentenced to One Year and Two Months in Prison
Ms. Cui Airong and Ms. Li Jing’e were arrested by Liu Jun, head of the Huimin County Domestic Security Division, and other officers when they visited Ms. Wang Yuying’s home on the morning of September 5, 2023. Ms. Li Jing’e was released. Ms. Cui was placed under official arrest by the Huimin County Procuratorate. It was learned recently that Ms. Cui was sentenced to one year and two months in prison by the Huimin County Court.
6. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Bingliang and Mr. Xu Hengkui Incarcerated
Eight practitioners including Mr. Zhang Bingliang and Mr. Xu Hengkui were tried and sentenced by the Guan County Court on January 4, 2023. Mr. Zhang Bingliang was sentenced to four years in prison and Mr. Xu Hengkui to seven years and six months. They were recently taken to Jinan Prison.
7. [Xingning City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xie Yujun Arrested and Detained
Mr. Xie Yujun was arrested on April 25, 2024, and is being held in the Xingning City Detention Center.
8. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Xu Ruixiong Arrested
Xu Ruixiong (gender unknown) was arrested by Pandong Town Police Station officers on the afternoon of April 25, 2024, and has been detained in the police station.
9. [Beijing] Four Practitioners Arrested
Four practitioners including Ms. Zhang Xiuli and Ms. Meng Xiuzhen, were arrested around March 2024. Ms. Zhang and Ms. Meng are being held in the Beijing First Detention Center.
10. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Ping and Her Mother Arrested
Ms. Li Ping was arrested at home in the Tanggu District by 12 officers from the Tanggu Police Station on the morning of April 14, 2024. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated several old computers, a printer, her Falun Gong books, and over 10 paper bills with facts about Falun Gong printed on them. Ms. Li was taken to the Zhaojiadi Detention Center.
Ms. Gou Ruiying who is the mother of Ms. Li and lives with her daughter, was arrested on the way to a farmers market almost at the same time that Ms. Li was arrested. She was interrogated and was released around 8 p.m.
11. [Jianyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhou Honggui Arrested
Mr. Zhou Honggui, nearly 80, was arrested at home by six officers from the Chengxi Police Station on April 17, 2024. The police ransacked his home and confiscated all his Falun Gong books. Mr. Zhou was taken to the police station for interrogation and released later that day.
12. [Jianyang City, Sichuan Province] Hou Zaizhi Arrested
Three officers from the Jiancheng Police Station arrested Hou Zaizhi (gender unknown) when Hou was talking to someone about Falun Gong on April 2, 2024. The person listening to Hou was also arrested. They were taken to the police station for interrogation and released later that day.
