(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 23 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

17. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Jiang Hongfu Released after Being Detained for Five Months
1. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yulan and Mr. Qin Shuhai Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Qin Shuhai from Yi County, 58, was arrested at home by twelve police officers in Yi County on the afternoon of January 18, 2024. Ms. Liu Yulan, 76, was also arrested that same day. Their homes were ransacked. The practitioners have been tried in court. Mr. Qin was sentenced to three years in prison and Ms. Liu was sentenced to two years in prison.
2. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Chen Hanshou Arrested
Mr. Chen Hanshou from Jingyang District, 71, was arrested near his home by three officers on April 25, 2024. The arrest warrant was issued by the Jingyang District Court.
3. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Shufang Arrested
Ms. Xu Shufang from Xushui District was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong and was arrested recently. Her home was ransacked. Ms. Xu was sent to the Xushui District Detention House.
4. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Hu Yuyuan and Ms. Fu Guihua Arrested
Ms. Hu Yuyuan and Ms. Fu Guihua were arrested on April 24, 2024. Ms. Hu’s home was ransacked that afternoon.
5. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Su Junjie Arrested and Detained
Mr. Su Junjie, from Xixin Village, Jiacun Town, Wangdu County, was arrested on April 22, 2024 and sent to the Wangdu County Detention House.
6. [Xingning City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xie Yujun Arrested
Mr. Xie Yujun left home after his home was ransacked. He was arrested on April 25, 2024. His wife and his young son were under residential surveillance.
7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Persecuted
Mr. Wang Huadi was harassed at his workplace by four officers at 9 a.m. on April 23, 2024. His home was ransacked and all his Falun Gong books were confiscated.
Ms. Chen Min and Ms. Han Yun were arrested on the morning of April 23, 2024. Their homes were ransacked. The police confiscated a computer, printer and Falun Gong books from Ms. Chen Min’s home, and a computer, printer, Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder and paper bills imprinted with Falun Gong facts from Ms. Han Yun’s home. Ms. Han was taken to the Huanggu District Police Department for interrogation and was released at 7 p.m.
8. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Arrested and Detained
Ms. Chen was followed when she distributed truth-clarifying materials in Wushang Plaza in March 2024. She was later arrested when she distributed information about Falun Gong near the Xiantao Theater. Ms. Chen was taken to the Xiantao City Detention Center and has been detained for more than 30 days.
9. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Chen Jinxiu was arrested at home by several plainclothes officers from the Xinjie Town Police Station in Jiayu County on April 23, 2024. Her home was ransacked. Her Falun Gong books and photo of Falun Gong’s founder were confiscated. Ms. Chen was taken to the police station and was released at noon.
It is said that Ms. Xiang Lanjiao and Ms. Jiang Qiuying were also arrested. They have since been released.
10. [Tianjin] Mr. Gao Tiwen Arrested
Mr. Gao Tiwen from Dongli District was arrested by officers from the Xinli Village Police Station in the Dongli District on the afternoon of April 22, 2024.
11. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Zhou Zihao Detained
Zhou Zihao (gender unknown) who was born in the 1990s, was sent to the Tiexi Detention Center. The reason he or she was arrested is unknown.
12. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Youbin Placed Under Surveillance
Mr. Wang Youbin lives in the Minglu Residential Community, Xiguan Community of Changping District. He was placed under 24-hour surveillance just before April 25, 2024. He was followed and photographed.
13. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Mei Arrested and Detained
Mr. Mei’s home was ransacked by officers from the Wuyi Road Police Station on April 18, 2024. It was recently learned that Mr. Mei was arrested and placed under 15-day detention. He is detained in the Zhangjiakou City Detention House.
14. [Chongqing] Mr. Zou Xiaojun Harassed
Mr. Zou Xiaojun from Bishan District was harassed at home on the morning of April 25, 2024. The police called the landlord and broke into his home. His Falun Gong book was confiscated.
15. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Yu’er Harassed
Ms. Yang Yu’er was harassed at home by village officials and police officers in April 2024. One of those people is Xie Chuntao, head of the CCP committee in the No. 7 Team of Sanyi Township. These people took photos in her home and confiscated her wall posters.
16. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jin Baocun Arrested
Mr. Jin Baocun was arrested when he talked to people about Falun Gong in Nangou Market on April 24, 2024.
17. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Jiang Hongfu Released after Being Detained for Five Months
Jiang Hongfu was tried in the Mishan Court on November 15, 2023 and was sentenced to five months in prison. Jiang was sent to the Mishan Detention Center and was released on April 14, 2024.
