Glorious Dafa Promotion at Thunderbay (4th in a series)

On the days we held our class, we were very surprised at what new students thought about promoting Dafa, since they were just taking their very first steps in cultivation. After seeing us wearing T-shirts or jackets with the logos, "Falun Dafa" and "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance," they themselves wanted to wear them so that others could also know about Falun Dafa. Though they had just been learning for a few days, a dozen new students participated in exercise demonstrations with us and distributed Dafa newspapers.

Although Fern (a new student) had quite a lot of house chores, she was always on time to give us a ride to the class site. Before leaving Thunderbay, we offered to buy gas for her car. She asked, "Why?" We told her that since she had helped Dafa and us so much, we as practitioners should offer at least that much. She replied, "But I am now a practitioner too!"

In these ten days, we sincerely felt our Teacher had arranged everything. We were fortunate to seize this cultivation opportunity provided by our Teacher by participating in this Fa (great law and universal principle) promotion. During these days we slept on the floor, ate instant noodles and bread, and yet we felt energetic. Each day before going to the class we would carefully check to make sure that all class materials were well prepared and that we arrived at the class early. Together with new students we would exchange experiences sincerely and compassionately. We would also seize all left over time to study the Fa (teachings of Falun Dafa), assist each other and advance together. We promoted Fa to people next to us on the airplane, to the taxi driver, to pedestrians on the street. Joel delayed his flight back home so that he could do more promotion. Our junior practitioner Jaqueline acted in unison with us adults. Sometimes she would even help correct new students movements during class. We donated and sent Dafa materials to local libraries and city officials. We demonstrated the five sets of exercises in bookstores. When we heard over the phone that our Teacher had met with practitioners and lectured at the West Coast Dafa Experience Sharing Conference, we recognized that we needed to do even better in assisting our Teacher in the human world, let more predestined people obtain and become aware of the Fa, and know the truth. At the same time, we must diligently study Fa, cultivate our Xinxing and elevate ourselves. Before leaving, we paid rent to the landlord, washed all the used bed linens and gave thank you cards to show our appreciation.

Ten days passed quickly. In the evening of the last day of the class, we gave the book 'Zhuan Falun' to each of the 35 new students. We all hugged each other and bid farewell. They gave us a signed thank you card. We took a picture together. "The Buddha-light illuminates everywhere and rectifies all abnormalities." It was truly an atmosphere of serenity and peace.

On the day we returned to Toronto, it was bright and enchanting. The sunlight gave off a rainbow of color scattered through thin clouds. Marti saw us to the airport. The two older ladies had tears in their eyes. They wished for our return in the future.

With the cosmic changes there will be more predestined people practicing Falun Dafa. Let us treasure this once in a millenium opportunity, and work tirelessly to "Validate the Fa with reason, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and offer people salvation with benevolence" (Rationality).

"Set your heart to offer people salvation,
Assisting your Teacher in the human world,
Join me to turn the Falun,
Fa will manifest in Heaven and Earth."
