On 1 October 2000, Dafa practitioner Xu Hao, a 23-year-old woman from Wendeng city, Shangdong province, went to Beijing to verify and tell people the truth about Dafa. She was arrested and sent to the Wendeng's office in Beijing. Huang Zongdian, the secretary of Houjia Town Communist Party Committee, and Director Xiang XX from the Security Office of Songcun town, had just returned from a restaurant. Having had plenty to eat and drink, they said to each other: "Let's have some fun with her". They then dragged Xu Hao outside. Huang Zongdian unleashed his fury. He slapped her face and punched her eyes with his fists until her face was bruised, swollen and bleeding. It lasted more than 20 minutes. But Huang was still not satisfied. He then tore Xu Hao's nylon shirt, which had the words "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" printed on it, and ignited it. The burning oil and flame dripped on Xu Hao. Soon she had blisters all over her body. Xu Hao quietly endured the pain and the brutal torture without any struggle. Subsequently Xuhao was given a 3-year sentence of "labor re-education" and sent to Jinan prison.

Why is vile being, the likes of Huang Zongdian so fearless and lawless? At a cadre meeting held on 9 October 2000, Wang Qiang, the Mayor of Wendeng city and deputy secretary of Wendeng City Communist Party Committee, said venomously: "Do not let a single one escape even if we have to catch 3000 by mistake. If they go to Beijing again, sever the tendon of their legs ....."

Dafa practitioner Fang Zhongchun from Shangdong village of Songcun town attended Huilongshan group practice and was arrested. He is still not released.
