Practitioners from the Qianlianghu State Farm in Yueyang City, Hunan Province came out to clarify the true facts regarding the persecution of Falun Dafa, in late October and early November. The activity covered lots of nearby state farm branches, towns and villages, set back the the evil greatly and validated the goodness of Falun Dafa. From September to the end of October, Dafa practitioners distributed more than 10,000 fliers clarifying the truth in this state farm with a population of less than 60,000, and created a positive environment for telling the truth. Some ordinary people said, "Falun Gong practitioners are really brave! Didn't the TV say nobody practiced anymore? They were all lies." Some said, "I don't understand Falun Gong, but I highly admire them, I respect their great forbearance for not fighting back when being persecuted and tortured, all they did was tell the truth through fliers."

After this activity, the evil forces showed their cruel nature. About 30 practitioners were arrested in the following two weeks; most of them were brutally tortured. Yet, all of the practitioners passed the test and maintained their xinxing. The kinds of torture they suffered include: being hung up with both hands tied, beat with leather belts; tied up with ropes, forced to sit in a cell in water up to their mouths for hours; burned on the chest and belly with heated metal.

The following is an account of one practitioners' ordeal.

My name is xxx, (name withheld for safety reasons) I am 60 years old, a retired official. At around 10:00am on November 17, four to five policemen broke into my home; I recognized one of them as Cao Guohua, the head of the Qianlianghu local police station. They thoroughly searched my home, but did not find anything they were looking for. They brought both my wife and I to the police station and questioned us separately. The purpose was to force us to admit that we distributed fliers at Cengshan Street on the night of November 4th. I refused. They brought me into a room, a big guy tied my hands together, and hung me on the doorframe. There was an electric hotplate burning on the floor, the big guy put a screwdriver on the stove until it was red. He took the burning screwdriver and asked me, "Do you want to admit?" I didn't say anything. He pulled my clothing away and touched the burning screwdriver to my body. He pressed the burning screwdriver on both sides of my chest all the way to my back, without stopping. When the screwdriver cooled down, he reheated it again and pressed it against me. I don't remember how long this lasted and how many times this was repeated. I pointed out, "You are extorting a confession by torture, and this is against the law!" He said, "Against the law? Who saw it? You can sue me, go ahead. Nobody will take your lawsuit. No way!" After a while, when they could not get any confession from me, they ended the torture with a simple questionnaire. They then forced my wife to pay 1,000 Yuan ($120, average monthly salary is $60) to release me, if not, I was to be sent to the City police station. My wife worried that I would suffer more so she managed to pay them the money. I was released after the money was paid without receiving a receipt. When we went home, my wife counted the burn wounds on my body, more than 40 in total. All my neighbors saw them and could be my witnesses. My cellmate told me that the burning torture was used against other practitioners before me, and I have heard some practitioners also suffered the same torture after me.
