The Persecution Of Falun Gong Practitioners Worsens In Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province
[Minghui Net] Since December 21st, 2000, the wicked people in the public security departments of Yancheng City started a new round of persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. In the evening of December 21st , the policemen of Yandu County smashed open the three iron doors of practitioner Chen Jian's home and took him away by force. Since then nothing has been heard about him. The authorities tightly blocked this news and the whereabouts of the practitioners remain unknown. Among the perpetrators involved in this action are Huang Xinhai and the deputy director of the Yandu Police Station.
Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Cai Xiaofeng, Ms. Wang Jinyu and Ms. Chen Lin were sentenced to labor camp for one year on December 22nd. They are now being kept in the City Detention Center. Male practitioners will be sent to Dafengfangqiang Farm of Yancheng city, female practitioners to Zhenjiang Labor Camp of the same province. Cai Xiaofeng went to Beijing to appeal this October 1st, and on October 6th, he was taken away from the Second Textile Mill by police and detained at Yancheng Detention Center. After being detained for one month, he then was sent to the Longgang Mental Hospital in Yancheng City on November 5th. On December 23rd 2000 he was sentenced to one year's forced labor. Wang Jinyu was escorted back from Beijing on October 6th and asked to write a pledge renouncing her practice of Falun Gong. They threatened to send her to a labor camp if she refused to write the pledge. Wang Jinyu wrote down, "I am steadfast to Falun Dafa and I will cultivate until completion." So she was sentenced to one-year in a labor camp on December 23rd. The practitioner Chen Lin was forced to attend a "compulsory transformation class" after being taken back from her appeal in Beijing this October 1st, and was sentenced to the labor camp for one year on October 23rd. These three practitioners lead a very hard life, they even have problems paying for their daily living necessities, but their determined beliefs in Falun Dafa have never changed.
It's also known that a female practitioner who was arrested on December 5 by Nanyang police station is still in detention. Those cruel policemen stripped her to the skin and used electric fans to blow cold air on her all night long when the temperature at that time was only 2 centigrade [close to freezing]. At present, she is still being brutally tortured. When their crimes were disclosed, many people with a sense of justice called them and asked them to release that practitioner, but they immediately changed their phone number. Dafa practitioner Zhou Zhaoying has been detained in Yancheng Lamp Factory for several days and was severely tortured. Zhou's family was not allowed to visit her. The phone number of this factory is: (86)515-8364746.
