New Jersey Practitioners

On September 5, more than one thousand practitioners from around the world gathered in Battery Park, New York, and held a one-day activity to introduce Dafa and clarify the truth of Dafa to the public.

Battery Park is one of the busiest parks in New York. Large banners in both English and Chinese were set up in the central part of the park. A dozen photo boards, which describe the spreading of Falun Dafa and the severe persecution in China, were put around the practice site. Practitioners practiced along with the gentle music the entire time. The scene was very magnificent, peaceful, and serene.

Many tourists were attracted by the scene and stopped to get more information. Several dozens of practitioners handed out introductory material to tourists and explained to them the situation in China. Attracted by the serenity of the scene, some people even stopped and started to learn the movements.

There was another group of practitioners who practiced the exercises and introduced Dafa near the ferryboat to the Statue of Liberty. From time to time, there were groups of Chinese tourists who passed by. Practitioners handed them information about the truth of Falun Dafa, which they did not have access to and answered questions for which they couldnt find answers in China.

In the afternoon, with a small number of practitioners left in Battery Park, the majority of the practitioners divided into groups and dispersed to different parts of the city to continue introducing Dafa to the public.

Thousands of various kinds of Dafa materials were distributed to the public. A Switzerland practitioner expressed, "Im very happy to be here and participate in these week-long activities to introduce Dafa to the public. Im happy to do my share to strive for the freedom to practice for practitioners in Mainland China."

There were also unidentified people mixed among practitioners. Practitioners advised these people with a compassionate heart that they are welcome to learn more about Falun Dafa, however, they should not be used by the evil forces and make mistakes that they would regret forever.

The activities at Battery Park were concluded successfully. This was another large-scale activity in New York following the Experience Sharing Conference on September 4. Practitioners will continue activities to introduce Dafa to the public and deepen peoples understanding of the truth of Dafa.
