Greetings, Respectable Teacher! Greetings, everyone!

Now we will briefly report on Thailand practitioners' cultivation experience and their further promotion of Dafa during the past year.

After April 25, 1999, because of the harsh environment, the number of practitioners in Thailand drastically decreased, and the number of people coming to group practice has decreased as well. In this situation, how to have a clear mind, be calm, and stick to cultivation became a very pressing topic for each one of us. Through strengthening Fa-study and especially studying Teacher's new articles, many practitioners came out of the confusion, and realized that, in addition to overcoming these obstacles and continuing group practice and group reading, we should also strengthen our promotion of Dafa, and open up new practice sites, to plant seeds for the future spreading of Dafa in Thailand. Therefore some practitioners started new practice site in Banjasiri Park, Chatuchak Park, and in Klong Toey.

With the further development of Fa-study and spreading the Fa, we encountered a big problem--lack of Dafa materials in Thai. The first Thai edition of Zhuan Falun was sold out in a few months. Very few practitioners were bilingual in Chinese or English and Thai. We encountered some difficulty while translating. Even though we put in so much effort, the result was still not good enough.. During the past year or so, we finally finished the revision work of the translation. The new Thai edition of Zhuan Falun is in print now, and we are looking for book distributors to help more people have access to Dafa. Beside this, we have also translated some Dafa books and Teacher's short articles. Several practitioners played key roles in adding simultaneous translation to Teacher's nine-day lecture video series. We held a nine-day seminar immediately after they finished the work, which took 9 months' time.

At the end of September, more than 60 practitioners from Taiwan, Singapore, Macao, and other places came to Thailand to help us further spread Dafa. We were very encouraged and learned a lot from them about spreading Dafa and safeguarding Dafa. Through reading Teacher's new articles together and experience sharing, we together made progress in our understanding of Dafa, and became truly in line with the process of Fa-rectification.

To meet further demand for Dafa materials, we printed 20,000 copies of Brief Introduction to Falun Dafa in Thai, and ordered yellow T-shirt with "Falun Dafa" characters in Thai, and went out to spread Dafa and clarify the truth to Thai people during holidays. December 5^th is the birthday of the King of Thailand. We took this opportunity to introduce Dafa to police and the officials organizing the activities. We felt the importance of introducing Dafa to Thailand's government and higher social classes.

With this in mind, we divided up the tasks and introduced Dafa to some party officials, university administrators, Bangkok city officials, and newspaper staff. We also wrote to the Thailand's prime minister, the state council, and other government agencies. January 6^th, 2001 will be the Election Day for people's representatives. We will make full use of this opportunity to introduce Dafa to the government and higher officials. To help promote Dafa, we recently constructed a web page "Falun Dafa in Thailand" (http://www.falunthai.org), and have an email address falunthai@email.com. Some dedicated practitioners spent a lot of time and energy to translate Dafa materials, which greatly helps us share information, and make it more convenient for practitioners to exchange experiences and introduce Dafa to all walks of life.

In the process of taking every possible opportunity to validate Dafa, we also realized that to introduce Dafa to people is also an opportunity to cultivate ourselves. Only when we dare to break through all kinds of human notions and to understand Dafa on the basis of Dafa can we truly "assist Teacher in the human world", only then can we cultivate great compassion and forbearance.

Looking back at our cultivation over the past year, even though we have been making progress step by step, compare with other regions' Hongfa and Hufa activities, we still see a huge gap, as if we have just started, and still have many difficulties to overcome. We have further realized that our great Teacher has been bearing too much for us. What we have now is the most precious opportunity Teacher has given us. Only by ridding ourselves of the most hidden attachments and impurities during cultivation in the process during the rectification of the Fa, and by doing everything from the basis of Dafa, can we be worthy of Teacher's personal salvation, only then can we truly become a most righteous enlightened being of the future universe.
