Promoting Dafa at the 90^th Flag-Raising Ceremony in Gaoxiong, Taiwan

Since the recent Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference, practitioners in the region of Gaoxiong, Taiwan have a deeper understanding of what it means to be particles of Dafa, to expose the evil forces, and to clarify the truth. Everyday, they gather together to diligently study the Fa. More and more, fellow practitioners are realizing that this is a special historical period, and how fortunate we are to be able to obtain the Fa, study the Fa, and cultivate during the Fa rectification process. They have also realized the importance and historical significance of "validating the Fa with reason, clarifying the truth with wisdom, spreading the Fa and offering people salvation with benevolence." In order to let more people know about Falun Dafa, we, Dafa particles, are taking every opportunity to spread, protect, and promote Dafa with solemn and pure hearts. On the annual flag-raising ceremony of Taiwan, Dafa practitioners in Gaoxiong City invited practitioners from other regions to attend the ceremony. At about 4:30am, some practitioners gathered in front of the Gaoxiong municipal administration building and started practicing Dafa exercises. At that time, the national flag had not yet been hoisted, whereas the banner of Falun Dafa was fluttering in the wind in front of the administration building, attracting the attention of some staff members. At 5:45am, practitioners from other areas joined in and we practiced Dafa exercises as a group. The group practice attracted a large numbers of by-standers. Someone in the crowd praised, "Great! They can be in a tranquil state at such a noisy place. It must be a very good exercise." During the ceremony that started at 7:00 am, Dafa practitioners raised a yellow banner that said, "Falun Dafa, Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance: Helps Millions Improve Their Health and Uplift Their Moral Standards." This banner became a focal point of attention during the ceremony. About 3,000 flyers were quickly distributed in less than 45 minutes. Practitioners deeply understood that Dafa is benevolent to all sentient beings and that it is boundless. Their unselfish devotion and benevolent behavior allowed more people to have a positive view of Dafa, and also it gave kind-hearted people a chance to better position themselves within Dafa. After the ceremony, Mayor Chang-Tin Xie stepped up to the rostrum and gave a speech to the residents of Gaoxiong City. The Mayor looked at the solemn and holy Falun Dafa banner fluttering in the square and spoke highly of Dafa in his speech. He encouraged all Gaoxiong residents to practice Falun Dafa. He hoped that whenever people encountered difficulty in their lives, they could treat it as a test and a chance to cultivate. The Mayor's words drew everyone's attention to the Dafa banner, and at this moment, the ceremony was filled with peace and harmony. It is Teacher Li who gives every practitioner opportunities again and again during the course of cultivation towards Consummation. Through this event, we further understood the importance and urgency of promoting Dafa to high-level officers in the government.
