Mother Sentenced to Four Years in Prison, Three Children Left Unattended

(Clearwisdom.net)

Lin Jieping, female, was a doctor and a former assistant (a voluntary position to serve others) of the Jieyang City Falun Dafa Practice Site at Chaoshan District. In July 1999, in order to tell the truth to the government, she went to Beijing to appeal. After she came back, the local police detained her for 15 days. After getting out, she was deceived, and was detained several times. On June 25, 2000, she, along with more than 100 other practitioners, went to practice Dafa exercises in public. She declared that "Falun Dafa is righteous" and spoke about her own experiences. She was then arrested and detained in a detention center for over a year.

The local police spread the word to the public to sue her, and said they would not give up until she was sentenced to jail. On the day when she was tried in court, Lin was very peaceful, and kept only Teacher's words in her mind "Validate the Fa with reason, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and offer people salvation with benevolence." ("Rationality") During the detention, she took the initiative to spread Dafa to the officers, the director, and everyone around her.

One practitioner had both hands chained after she was found practicing. After learning this, Lin immediately went on a hunger strike to appeal. Seeing Lin's actions, people around her began to show sympathy and understanding.

On September 6, 2001, she and two other practitioners were sent to Shaoguan Prison for a four-year term.

Lin has three children, and she had been taking care of them by herself since she and her husband divorced ten years ago. She deeply wanted to fulfill her responsibility as a mother. However, she has been detained and there is no way to appeal. Now, three children are left unattended, and they miss their mother very much.
