Practitioners from Peru successfully finished the SOS! Global RescueWalk in Peru along the 300-km Pan-America Highway. The walk started from Lima on September 28 and finished at Ica on October 8.

Ica is situated in the south of Peru and all visitors to Nazca, Cuzco and other touristy places have to pass through Ica. Pan America Highway originates from Canada and ends at Chile and passes through Ica. Everyday thousands of cars flow through the Pan America Highway. Practitioners strode along the highway with firm steps, and their yellow shirts and Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance flags caught the attention of the drivers and passengers. Many of them showed their respect to Dafa, stopping their cars and offering practitioners water and apples.

The radio stations in Chincha, Pisco, and Ica interviewed practitioners when they passed through the cities. When the practitioners reached the destination, Ica TV Station reported the event in its evening news. Two local newspapers also reported on the SOS! Global RescueWalk and introduced Falun Gong to their readers.
