October 14, 2001 was the 100^th day of the peaceful appeal in front of the Chinese Embassy. Practitioners from Ottawa and Montreal held a press conference in front of the Embassy. Local press Ottawa Sun, Ottawa Citizen, TV stations of CTV and New RO, a French press Le Doir, and a French radio station Radio Canada came and covered the event.

2. Stop the Inhuman and vicious persecution

Upon hearing the death of 15 female practitioners in the Wanjia Labor Camp, practitioner Gerry Smith initiated a 330-hour silent sitting in front of the Chinese Embassy on July 6.	Gerry got all kinds of support from communities and organizations.

 

3. History witnesses this peaceful appeal

In the past 100 days, practitioners distributed over ten thousand pieces of Chinese and English Dafa literature in front of the Embassy and were interviewed by the press over fifty times

The press conference also attracted local people to learn the exercises

4. Hunger strike to support practitioners in China

From August 22 to September 7, nine practitioners participated in the hunger strike in front of the Embassy to support 130 practitioners who were on hunger strike in the Mashanjia Labor Camp in China

5. Righteous thoughts are powerful

On October 1, 2001, practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy to call for abolishment of the 610 Office and bring Luo Gan to Justice. Falun appeared while we sent forth righteous thoughts.

6. "Never in the history has someone who persecuted those with upright faiths ever succeeded."

The evil force fears the revealing of the truth. Practitioners' tape recorder and banners were stolen several times at night. Some banners were torn on the spot. The evil force attempted to stop our silent sitting, but it was unavailing. The Chinese Embassy sent people taking photos and making threatening conversations. Nothing can waver practitioners' belief in Falun Dafa.

7. "If the persecution doesn't stop, we will not leave."

From October 14, 2001 on, we will change 24-hour sitting to daylight sitting. We will face the cold winter test. Practitioners' belief is as solid as a rock: "If the persecution doesn't stop, we will not leave."

8. Truth will defeat the evil

In her speech, Li Jinyu said, "Truth will defeat the evil." Li's husband was detained in a labor camp due to practicing Falun Gong.
