Diligence and Determination

Long trek up the mountain,

In a group, yet each alone.

Each finding their own path,

Each responsible, ultimately,

For the steps they take.

One cannot change the path

of the other:

Nonetheless, when another has fallen...

...where is benevolence to be found,

if not in a few kind words from the heart?

Diligence and determination, solidify to a diamond-like state

only when based solidly in the Fa, with a strong will,

putting noble thoughts into action.

Nonetheless, a few kind words

Can help another to once again

Raise their head out of the mud

and open the Book.

Massive, high mountain.

Desolate, greys and browns.

No vegetation, no sunshine.

Looking down, to see the tops

of clouds far below.

Treacherous, sheets of ice

giant boulders, break free

and fall; constant danger.

Once here,

There is nowhere to go

But upwards.
