Notes from My Cultivation Studies (2)
Written by a practitioner in Taipei
Sometimes, when other practitioners share their thoughts and experiences in
cultivation in a less coherent manner, I will feel rather impatient. I
understand that this feeling has actually developed into an attachment. In fact,
these practitioners are not good at expressing themselves, but when we maintain
the benevolent heart a cultivator should have and listen to them with patience,
we will always find our own shortcomings and make real progress in cultivation.
I always remind myself not to develop the heart of showing off if I come to
realize something in Dafa, because what I have learned is only on my level and
the understandings on the higher levels are still beyond my capability. This is
always easy to say but hard to do.
When we quote some words from other practitioners' cultivation experiences to
illustrate our own points, we should be careful not to mix them with Fa, even if
we totally agree with them, because they are only the understandings at
different levels too.
Before I started my cultivation in Dafa, there were some familiar and
unfamiliar people in my environment, who were not in harmony with me. I
understand that this is the consequence of my insufficient compassion. If I
don't improve in this matter, how can I introduce Dafa to them and tell them I
am cultivating "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance."
The above are my personal views; please point out anything improper.
