Pittsburgh Practitioners Clarify the Truth in Church

As clarifying the truth and exposing the evil to the public reach deeper levels, more and more people hope to gain more understanding of Falun Dafa. Since spring of 2001, we have been using different occasions to introduce Dafa to the public and many kind people have come to know Dafa and understand the truth.

About two months ago an American friend named Chris called me and wanted to learn about Falun Gong. His girl friend got an SOS! Urgent Rescue flyer and he found our contact information. Chris said that he and some of his friends in church have been closely watching the reports regarding Falun Gong. He was very happy to find out that there is a practice site in Pittsburgh. So we met in a coffee shop and chatted for more than 4 hours. Through our conversation he had a deeper understanding of Falun Gong and the truth of the persecution in China.

Chris has a special interest in Chinese culture and he is very respectful of the principles of Falun Gong. He at once invited us to give a Falun Gong seminar in his church. After discussing with his pastor, they decided to have the seminar on the evening of October 3.

Even though we have talked to people of different religions before, it was the first time for Pittsburgh practitioners to hold a seminar in church. Before the seminar started we played Dafa music "PuDu" and "JiShi" at the request of Chris. During the seminar, first a practitioner gave an overview of the history of Falun Gong in China, the characteristics of Falun Gong and the truth of the persecution of practitioners in China by Jiang Zemin's regime. Then a video, Falun Gong's Peaceful Journey, was shown. Dafa practitioners' elegant exercises and their benevolence in contrast to the brutal persecution by police touched peoples' hearts, and many people came to tears while watching the tape.

During the ensuing question and answer session, the pastor eagerly asked, "What could we do for you? How could we help?" When someone asked why Jiang Zemin's regime would persecute Falun Gong, some in the audience picked up the topic before practitioner answered.

We are very glad that more and more people know the truth. The seminar was extended for half an hour. Considering people needed to go to work next day, we planned to conclude the seminar early. However, since the audience all wanted to learn the exercises we showed them the first and second sets. Everyone felt the strong energy field and unexplainable beauty and harmony there. They all commented on how wonderful the exercises were. Many of them asked for practice site information.

After the seminar the audience came to sign petition letters and get more information. They all hoped that we would come back again.
