Vicious Policemen Beat Kind People in Tai'an City, Shandong Province, Angering Residents

(Clearwisdom.net) Zhao Chuanfeng, male, 31 years old, is an employee of the Yingchun Construction Company in Tai'an City. His whole family has practiced Falun Gong for many years and has benefited from the practice both mentally and physically. Since the Chinese regime started persecuting Falun Gong in July 1999, the whole family became destitute and homeless. They could not return to their home, otherwise they would suffer endlessly. The local "6-10 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] stays prepared with brainwashing classes, fines, and other means for torturing them mentally and ruining them financially, as ordered by Jiang Zemin.

In order to clarify the truth (of Falun Gong) to the government and to restore Falun Gong's reputation, Zhao Chuanfeng went to Beijing twice to report the situation. The authority illegally detained him three times in detention centers, put him in administrative detention once, sent him once to a brainwashing class, and extorted an illegal fine of over 6900 Yuan [almost 1 year salary of Chinese city worker]. To avoid this inhumane maltreatment, he was forced to leave home to avoid the persecution. The police department listed him as "wanted" and forced into homelessness.

On July 17, 2001, Zhao was seized in Jining City without pretext. When the policemen caught him, they cruelly beat him. One policeman even drew out his belt as a weapon. He whipped Zhao over and over without caring where the leather and buckle landed. Blood gushed out from Chuanfeng's head. The cut on his head was several inches long. (later requiring 14 stitches to sew the wound shut) Seeing the frantic policemen, passing witnesses got angry, "Are these the people's police? Several of them surround an unresisting and kind person and beat him brutally. They are totally demonic without human nature. This cannot be allowed." They dashed over and fought with the vicious policemen. Despite this rescue attempt by kind-hearted people, Zhao Chuanfeng was taken to the police station. He was hung up for 4 nights and days despite his head wound and tortured him to the point of death.

On July 21, 2001, the supposed authority took Zhao back to Tai'an, and detained him in the Donghu Detention Center. Zhao was forcibly interred into the Wangcun Labor Camp on August 10, 2001 on a sentence of 3 years' forced labor. The labor camp officers used every trick and all kinds of people to surround him and attack him, trying to force him to write repentance statements and to say that he would not practice Falun Gong anymore. Zhao Chuanfeng refused. Inhuman officers tortured him for 14 days, despite his un healed headwound. They shocked him with electric batons and bruised his body repeatedly. Unable to torture Zhao into "repentance" or "renunciation," the vicious policemen hung him up for several days and nights, preventing him from sleeping and eating. As this did not work either, they then confined him in a solitary compartment. They just kept torturing him endlessly. This is the inside story of the inhuman labor camp's so-called "reforming."

Zhao's entire family cultivates Falun Gong. The supposed authority had also illegally detained his father and his brother, sent them to a brainwashing class, and extorted heavy "fines." As of today, his wife and his brother are still unable to return home, the police have listed them as "wanted criminals," forcing them to live on the streets.

Since the evil force started brutally persecuting Falun Gong, they have broken up thousands upon thousands of families, such as Zhao's. Hundreds of thousands of people have lost homes and family members. Kind-hearted people, please check out how many labor camps there are throughout the country [of China], which are overflowing with nice people imprisoned because they practice Falun Gong. Please check out how many families are suffering. Why should they endure such persecution for being good people? With kindness persecuted so by their so-called "leaders," isn't the country and its people in great danger?
