The Boundless Fa Awakens Those Who Go Astray

I was released from the labor camp after writing letters denouncing Falun Gong and promising to give up practicing. The next day, many benevolent practitioners told me that I had done the wrong thing. Was I really wrong? I thought about it. Because the degenerate notions in my mind were very strong at that time, I came to the conclusion that I was not wrong. I even doubted the authenticity of the Teacher's new articles. Not until I read "Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts Are Powerful," did my mind change. Meanwhile I remembered Teacher's article "Definitive Conclusion", in which Teacher says, á

"Dafa disciples, you must bear in mind that in the future any behavior such as dividing Dafa into branches, schools, sects, or denominations, by anyone, at any time, in any place, and with any excuse, is undermining the Fa. You should never do what I don't allow you to. The desire to show off plus the attachment of zealotry are most easily exploited by the demonic part of your mind. Whatever you have enlightened to in Dafa is no more than a tiny portion of the Fa's principles at a certain level within the boundless Fa's principles. You must never define the Fa or a part of it--not even a sentence of it. If you do that in public, the moment you utter it you will have produced sinful karma. In serious cases, the sin can be as big as a mountain or the sky--how could you then cultivate yourself? If one alters Dafa and creates another system, his sin will be so great that it is boundless. When a life is paying for that bad karma, the pain from its being eliminated layer after layer will be eternal and endless.

Dafa can rectify the universe, so it certainly has the Fa's power to repress evil, eliminate disorder, harmonize everything, and remain invincible. As a matter of fact, there have been many lessons in this regard. Things that undermine the Fa will be handled by gods who safeguard the Fa. When all sentient beings treasure Dafa, they are treasuring their own lives and being compassionate to all sentient beings. Dafa is unchangeable and unshakable. It will live on forever and always exist in the world. Heaven and earth will remain stable forever."

After reciting this article, I became aware of what a huge sin I had committed by writing those letters of denouncement and repentance. I realized that the behavior of those who are enlightened along an evil path is really an insult to Dafa. They misinterpret the meaning of Dafa by taking excerpts out of context from the Dafa books.

1. See Clearly The "Enlightenment" Along the Evil Path

Those who are enlightened along an evil path often say, "We split from the 'Organization' of Falun Gong, not from Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. We don't need to read the books of Falun Gong any more. Following the three words and being a good person is enough." Isn't this dividing Dafa into branches and schools?

Teacher has taught us,

"We have no required religious regulations of any kind, nor are there any temples, churches, or religious rituals. People can come to learn it, or leave as they please--there is no binding membership. In what way does it have anything to do with religion? As to the label "evil," how could it fall into the category of "evil" for teaching people to be benevolent, healing people's sicknesses, and keeping them healthy, all without accepting any money? Or should something be considered evil if it is outside the category of communist theories? Besides, I know that evil religion is just evil religion, and it is not up to a government to decide. " ("Some Thoughts of Mine")

Those enlightened along an evil path said Falun Gong was an organization of "X" [Jiang Zemin's slanderous word omitted]. Isn't that the same as slandering Dafa as "X"? They said there was no need to read the books of Falun Gong or to study the Fa. If so, how can they know the meaning of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and behave in accordance with it? How can they follow its guidance to eliminate the evil and offer people salvation? A cultivator is supernormal and different from everyday people. A cultivator is a guardian of the cosmos. Such a huge difference exists when compared with the good people in everyday life! Teacher has borne for us everything in history in order for us to attain the righteous enlightenment of selflessness and altruism with great benevolence, and return to our original positions. Isn't it a selfish idea to only want to be a good person in the Fa-rectification period? I felt the severity of deviating from Dafa. I am completely awakened and have realized that the main reasons I gave in to the evil were the desire to show off, the attachment of zealotry, human sentiment, and the pursuit of comfort in the human world. These attachments of mine were taken advantage of by the evil.

2. Double the Efforts to Make Amends and Clear the Disgrace

After realizing my wrongdoing, I was depressed for a period of time, and not able to face the Teacher and fellow practitioners. But I soon understood that this too was an attachment. So I braced myself up and asked other practitioners to post on the Clearwisdom.net website my solemn statement of steadfastly practicing Dafa. Fearing my going to appeal in Beijing, the 6-10 Office asked me to declare my attitude towards Dafa and its teacher when May 13th (Note: World Falun Dafa Day) drew near. I told them firmly, "My teacher is pure and righteous. Falun Dafa is good." Hearing that, they forced me to attend a brainwashing class. In my heart I pledged: I have to leave here. I have to go out and clarify the truth to people. So I started a hunger strike, refusing food and water as well as all of their demands. On the fifth day, I vomited blood. I knew there was a reason for that. Still, my husband told the person in charge about it. The supervisors were afraid. They told my husband, "We will set her free. But you must tell people that she has written a promise of giving up practicing, and that she burned the Falun Gong books." I overheard their conversation and felt miserable. Wasn't that still being taken advantage of by the evil? I demanded to use the bathroom. Once I got out in the courtyard, I shouted out, "XX (my husband's name) cannot write the promise or burn the books for me. If you do it, I will go to Beijing to appeal as soon as I get out of here. I will not stay at home for a single day." They were all shocked. Later they pretended to be kind and persuaded me to have some food. I was determined not to follow any of their directions. Finally, they set me free from the brainwashing class.

Since then, I often go out to distribute truth-clarifying flyers, to post them on wire poles or the building entrances. I also hang up banners. But I discovered that sometimes I wasn't doing it with a pure heart, but only to make up for my wrongdoings so as to make improvements on my way of cultivation. I found that sometimes I took the work of clarifying the truth to be a job of merely exposing the evil, rather than doing it out of an unselfish and righteous mind of "spreading the Fa and offering people salvation with benevolence". Other times I was reluctant to do more work because of laziness. All this has restricted the effect of the truth-clarifying materials on exposing and suffocating the evil, and awakening the kindness in people's hearts. I understood that it was a result of an impure mind muddled by degenerate notions. A further understanding of the Fa helped me to realize the significance of clarifying the truth. I became more active in spreading the truth-clarifying materials. Once, when I was distributing the materials with a practitioner in a village, a plainclothes cop discovered us. He chased after us with all his strength. We ran as fast as we could. All of a sudden I thought, "We are Dafa practitioners. How can we run away from the evil like this?" So we turned around and sent out righteous thoughts to him. He was immediately stopped. We continued distributing flyers. It is just as Teacher says, "However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is." ("Also in a Few Words")

One night I had a dream. I climbed up a high staircase and went into a building. In a room there was a book about one foot high and one foot wide, glowing with light. I went close and saw a line on the cover, "How To Do Fa-rectification, Written For A Specific Group of People." I thought that the "specific group of people" must be people like me who have once gone astray. I opened it and saw Teacher's portrait. Teacher looks so benevolent and peaceful. I said to him, "As a disciple I know how to do it in the Fa-rectification." Teacher's smile became more kindly. I turned to the next page and found a magnificent Falun (law wheel). And the following pages were about how to do Fa-rectification. I didn't read it, but closed the book and handed it to my father, for he is also one in that specific group. I woke up with tears on my face. From then on, I have felt more assured and determined in the Fa-rectification.

Here I would like to offer a piece of advice to those who have gone astray and are not aware of their wrongdoings. Please awaken and follow the process of the Fa-rectification. Don't miss the greatest opportunity since the beginning of heaven and earth.

How fortunate we are to be saved when the lord of Buddhas comes to the world to impart the great Fa of the cosmos!

My fellow practitioners, let us join in the efforts to "Clarify the truth thoroughly, eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts, save all beings, and safeguard the Fa with determination." (Dafa is Indestructible) Let us fulfill our vows made millions upon millions of years ago.
