Mr. President (of Falun Gong Association),

In your letter dated September 29th, you had well wanted to inform the Mayor of Paris of the (SOS) Walk undertaken in several countries by the practitioners of Falun Dafa in order to fight against the repression that they are subjected to in China.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, in his letter dated July 6 2000, had confirmed to you the position of France and the European Union with regards to this important subject, and I can but confirm to you the commitment of the Mayor of Paris on the side of all those who work in the world in favor of the respect for Human rights.
