A Practitioner in China

(Clearwidsom.net) The SOS emergency rescue activities started by practitioners, in different places of the world, are really encouraging. In my judgement, I believe it would be even more encouraging if practitioners in China could also join in the international SOS rescue. If this were to occur, the truth could be spread to every part of China. To solidify my opinion, one incident that took place last month leads me to believe my request is all the more necessary during this current time.

One day in August, as I went to Tiananmen Square again to validate Dafa to the government and people, and to appeal for Dafa and its Teacher, the police arrested me. They tortured me for a day and a night. Seeing that I became very weak, they chose to send me to a hospital. While there, they spoke loudly that I was a practitioner of Falun Dafa and had gotten ill from practicing. At the same time, they did not offer me any opportunity to defend myself, or even allow me to speak. Knowing that I was a practitioner, doctors, nurses, and other workers gathered in the corridor outside my room in curiosity of all the commotion. Because they were deeply influenced by the propaganda of Jiang Zemin's government and what the policemen had just said, they couldn't understand why I kept practicing Dafa. So they verbally attacked me as well and carried on in laughter.

In such a situation, I had but one thought, to expose the evil so that these people will learn the truth and be saved. I recited silently the Fa-rectification verse imparted by Teacher to eliminate the evil behind the policemen and the sentient beings. All of a sudden I felt that the benevolence in my heart was affecting the whole dimension. I told these people in detail every method of torture the policemen and security personnel used on me. The policemen dropped their heads. Even the young man with ferocious eyes who beat me most severely dropped his head and became silent.

Based on my understanding of Dafa, I told them how Falun Dafa teaches people to be good and how practitioners had benefited from it physically and mentally, melting down the misunderstandings generated by government propaganda. I also answered their questions one by one. The group of people became peaceful and tranquil. Even the policemen were listening quietly. Most of the people looked at me with smiles on their faces and admiration in their eyes, waiting for me to tell more.

Finally I told them: it is understandable why many practitioners keep on going to Tiananmen Square to appeal. None of the true practitioners smoke or drink, nor do they gamble or visit prostitutes, let alone take bribes, violate the law, or deceive people. Are they righteous or not? How can you call them "evil"? Yet Jiang Zemin's government is trying to convert them. To which direction are they going to be converted? We have been hurt and violated. Yet we cannot go and talk to the government to plea our case. If the government keeps up this viciousness, then where is our nation going? What are our people going to do? What are our children and later generations going to do?

After I said these words, a scholarly looking doctor asked me: "How many years did you spend in school? What is your academic background?" I said I didn't go to school for many years and that I was enlightened by the divine law of Falun Dafa to the righteous way of thinking towards the world. That night I sent forth righteous thoughts developed in cultivation practice and escaped.

Whenever I think of those people, I can't help wondering: Don't they have relatives or friends practicing Dafa from whom they can learn the truth? I look within myself and realize that among my relatives and friends there are still many to whom I have never clarified the truth. Though I talked to some of them, for various reasons, I didn't thoroughly make things clear. They are still blinded by the lies. As to my neighbors, I only gave them the truth-clarifying flyers. I wasn't really concerned about whether they came to know what Dafa really was. I used to feel that I was doing a pretty good job. Now I realize how poorly I have been doing in validating the Fa, clarifying the truth, and offering people salvation. A sense of duty and pressure rose up and I wanted to call out from the bottom of my heart: I will start from myself, joining in the SOS international rescue and clarifying the truth thoroughly to people around us and to people that we meet in daily life, no matter in what way. In doing so, we need to employ all sorts of methods, taking advantage of every possible means, putting in our best efforts and wasting no time.

I hope that each and every practitioner in China will not forget to clarify the truth to his or her relatives and friends while helping others to learn the truth. Let us join in the SOS international rescue. Let the people in the world know the truth and let peace and tranquility prevail.

Teacher says, "Actually, people have been waiting for the Fa. ... So in today's world, we can't not be responsible for other sentient beings, we can't not be responsible for other sentient beings' obtaining the Fa in the future, and we can't not lay a foundation for other sentient beings to obtain the Fa in the future, because they could well be beings from your system." (Lecture on the Fa at the Washington, D.C. International Conference)

I hope we can do better in clarifying the truth and assisting Teacher.
