1. Truth-Clarifying Literature in a Meeting Place

In mid September, a court held an open trial in a city in northeast China. Dafa practitioners tactfully scattered truth-clarifying literature at the meeting place. An official who worked at the court said, "Falun Gong is really powerful; their truth- clarifying literature even appears in this meeting place."

2. "The Buddha Light Illuminates Everywhere, Propriety and Justice Rectify and Harmonize Everything."

Dafa practitioners in a city in northeast China wrote on both sides of a farmer's gate, "The Buddha light illuminates everywhere, Propriety and justice rectify and harmonize everything." [the first two lines of "In Harmony With the Fa," a poem from Teacher's poem collection, Hong Yin, not an official translation] On the next morning, the owner discovered it and was delighted, he said, "This must be written by people who believe in Buddha." A child said, "Quick, erase it, it's written by Falun Gong practitioners." The owner answered, "I won't erase it, and this New Year [in Chinese lunar calendar], I won't even post an antithetical couplet. [Two rhyming sentences people put on their door on Chinese Lunar New Year]"

3. Uprightness

Ping, a practitioner in a city of northeast China, gave up her egotistical behavior and devoted herself wholeheartedly to the current of Fa- rectification. She distributed countless Dafa truth-clarifying materials and went to the most vicious places. Once, she was trapped in a blind alley while distributing materials. She thought, it would be good to have a path, and as it turned out, a wide road appeared in front of her. Recently, she wanted to distribute materials in a street with much traffic, and soon after, Falun Gong materials appeared in a main street in the city. One day at noon, some policemen went to her home and asked her to fill out a form, she firmly refused to cooperate, and so the policemen forcefully took her to the police station. At the police station, a policeman said to her, "Let's see if your Teacher will come to rescue you." Ping said calmly, "It's not time yet. When it is time, my Teacher will come and save me." She sent forth righteous thoughts while sitting on the sofa. Her state of mind was pure and benevolent for the worldly people. Not long after, several policemen fell asleep one after another. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Ping walked out of the police station openly and uprightly and escaped the demons' claws. It was only ten minutes between Ping being illegally kidnapped and her walking out.

Dafa practitioners' righteous thoughts struck a fatal blow at the evil.

4. Reading Materials

A practitioner went to the countryside to distribute truth-clarifying materials and met two vicious people on her way. Because her righteous thoughts weren't firm enough, she couldn't disable them from moving. Later on, in order to stabilize her and wait for the police car, these two asked her about the "1400 examples" [Chinese government's lies about people who died from practicing Falun Gong, concocted to deceive people and persecute practitioners]. An idea suddenly flashed through her mind. She took out truth-clarifying materials and gave them to those two people, saying, "You can take a look," and she ran into a cornfield. After running for several meters, she looked back and saw those two still reading the flyers at the same place. Thus, she successfully escaped and returned safely.

5. Have to Get Out

One day in the afternoon, a practitioner distributed materials along with several other practitioners. A patrolling policeman found them, but he and another practitioner successfully escaped. However, in order to help a fellow practitioner who was caught, this practitioner got arrested on his way back to the place and was sent to a police station along with the other practitioner. There, a malicious policeman, Wei Guangren, beat them severely. At that moment, this practitioner sent forth a strong righteous thought, "I have to get out, I can't be taken away by the evil." At once, his handcuffs loosened by themselves. When the vicious police were not paying any attention to him, he openly and uprightly walked out of the police station.

6. Resist with the Evil with Determination and Successfully Overcome Tribulations

My cousin obtained the Fa a week before July 22, 1999 [the day when the Chinese government began a nation wide anti-Falun Gong campaign]. She was relatively diligent after obtaining the Fa, and soon after, she devoted herself to the current of Fa-rectification.

Recently, she was implicated by a fellow practitioner and got arrested and sent to a detention center. She realized the detention center was not the place for practitioners to stay. Several days later, she joined other practitioners in a hunger strike to protest her illegal detention and request unconditional release. On the fifth day of the hunger strike, the officials of the detention center began to force-feed them. When two people walked up to my cousin and tried to force-feed her, she pointed to them and said in a stern voice, "You two, don't move, stand there and don't move." And they obediently stood there immobile. Then the guard ordered other people from outside the room to force-feed her, again she pointed to those people and said, "All of you, don't come in here. Whoever force-feeds me will receive retribution!" And none of them came in. The guard himself tried to force-feed her, so she pointed to him and said, "Don't you be wicked too. You're violating human rights. A practitioner died from your force-feeding, right? Don't touch me!" As a result, they failed to force-feed my cousin.

On the next day (the sixth day of the hunger strike), they brought doctors from a hospital and ordered some armed policemen to carry all of them into an alcohol detox room. They tied them on a couch and tried to give them drug injections. At that moment, my cousin sent forth a strong righteous thought, "Teacher, I absolutely cannot let them pollute my pure body. My arms are tied, so please help me." Next, she said to the doctors, "Don't any of you give me any injections; otherwise you'll suffer retribution. If you don't believe me, you can have a try." And the doctors turned around and walked away; none of them did anything to her. After that, my cousin implored Teacher, "Teacher, it won't do to have my hands tied like this. I'll have to untie them and verify Dafa's supernatural power and show it to them!" Thereupon, she suddenly took out her right arm from the ropes and quickly untied the rope on her left arm. Then, she called out to the guard, "See, my Teacher untied it for me! This is a miracle created by Dafa."

After failing to inflict any harm on my cousin, on the same evening, they said to her, "We have really exhausted all means on you. Go home quickly and be a good cultivator!" Therefore, after successfully overcoming her tribulation, my cousin again rejoined the current of Fa-rectification.
