The Toronto fall fair took place on September 29 and 30th, and we had two beautiful days of Hongfa to thousands of people. We arrived early on Saturday morning to set up our booth in the vendor section behind the midway rides. Our area backed onto the stands overlooking a sports event, thus we had a fantastic opportunity to hang two beautiful banners on the backside of the stands facing our booth.
We placed gorgeous Falun Dafa pictures from around the world at the west side of the booth. Our table was on the east side and practitioners performed the exercises in the middle.
The midway rides and games filled the air with very loud music and noise. At times we had to shout in order for people to hear us.
We practiced the beautiful exercises amongst all the noise like it didn't even exist. Everyone who walked by stopped. The contrast of the loud and rushing midway and the sacred peacefulness of our beautiful Falun Dafa exercises mesmerized everyone who walked by. Everyone stopped for long periods of time and watched.
Children running by stopped and stared. Their parents couldn't even drag them away. As we did the sitting exercise many children sat with us and did them also. The parents were amazed.
We told everyone, "Falun Gong is a cultivation practice to help cultivate virtue and peacefulness in the individual and in society. We are here to demonstrate the beautiful and peaceful exercises. We are also here to bring awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong in China. The president of China has killed hundreds of people just like these people here because of his own insecurity and fear."
Everyone saw the evilness of the Chinese president's regime and realized the courage of our practitioners in China who continue to peacefully protect virtue and goodness for society. Everyone wished us peace.
We distributed thousands of flyers to people at our booth and at the front gate as they entered the park. I walked through the busy midway and didn't see one of our flyers on the ground. Everyone kept them.
Both days we reached thousands of people and invited everyone to come and learn about Falun Dafa. The very next day we started to receive calls from people who wanted to learn Falun Dafa.
At the end, we called and thanked the Toronto Fair for the opportunity to clarify the truth to so many people. They told us they would invite us back next year for sure! They even wrote a great letter of recommendation to another Fair that we approached for a booth! They were all touched by the Fa!
