1. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Severe Torture During Detention Causes Falun
Dafa Practitioner Wang Yuanxian to Become Mentally Disordered

On September 14, 2001, after being reported to the police, Wang Yuanxian
(female) from Wuhan City was arrested while posting truth-clarifying flyers. She
was detained in the No. 1 Female Detention Center, Etouwan, Dongxihu, Wuhan
City. During the detention, she practiced the Falun Gong exercises as a way of
peacefully protesting the illegal detention. Zong (female), the director of the
center, directed criminal offenders to beat Wang. As a result of the beatings,
her incisor was knocked out; her head received a bruise that swelled to the size
of an egg; her legs and back were covered with cuts and bruises. The continuous
persecution caused Wang Yuanxian to become mentally disordered. On September 24,
2001, the detention center informed her family that they could pick her up. Her
family members wanted to ascertain the reason for Wang's mental instability, but
the center evaded responsibility.
2. [Mulan County, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Chang Yingfu
and Li Weichun Are Illegally Arrested
In June last year, police from Police Department of Mulan County arrested
practitioner Chang Yingfu for his determination to keep practicing Falun Dafa.
His two children were left at home alone, without a guardian; one of them, later
drowned to death.
In the afternoon on August 21, 2001, police took away Chang Yingfu again from
his home. His 14-year-old daughter was left home alone and had a very hard time
as nobody looked after her.
Police from the Police Department of Mulan County took Li Weichun (male) away
in the afternoon on August 2, 2001. By then, the vicious police from the Police
Department had already illegally sentenced his wife to forced labor reeducation
for her determination to continue practicing Falun Dafa. Their child, a
secondary school student, was left alone, without being looked after by anyone .

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] The Intensive Brain Washing Class of Jianghan
District Persecutes Falun Dafa Practitioners
1). In mid-August 2001, during an intense brain-washing class in Jianghan
District, Falun Dafa practitioner Fang Shiqing was illegally sentenced to forced
labor reeducation for tearing down, from the wall, a cartoon defaming Teacher
Li.
2). On September 6, 2001, two on duty policemen (police ID 026036 and 026032)
from Hualou Street Police Station, Jianghan District, beat Falun Dafa
practitioners for reading Teacher's articles. One practitioner, in his 60's, was
injured.
3). On September 19, 2001, Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Li (female) finished
her term of detention in Hewan Labor Camp for Drug Rehabilitation. However, she
was transferred to the intensive brainwashing class in Jianghan District for her
determination in practicing Falun Dafa and not writing letter to denounce it. On
September 21, 2001, she was transferred to a detention center. Wang Li refused
to follow the orders of police. Police carried her to board a police vehicle by
force. Two policemen (police ID 026401, 026397) from Qianjin Police Station
participated in the forced transfer.
4). Since October 1999, the longest detention time of the determined Falun
Dafa practitioners in Jianghan District intensive brain-washing class has been
two years, including many practitioners who are 60-70 years old. During the
period, some of the practitioners were often transferred to the detention center
or labor camp.
Falun Dafa practitioner Yang Zhengwu and others imprisoned in Hewan Labor
Camp for Drug Rehabilitation, Wuhan City practice Falun Dafa with determination,
guard Dafa and never wobble their righteous belief on Falun Dafa. Some police
from the labor camp begin to experience a variety of symptoms of physical
illness in their bodies.
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Please Be More
Cautious as the Evil Forces Become More Rampant
For some time recently, Falun Dafa practitioners from Changchun City spread
Dafa with a variety of means by distributing and posting flyers and banners,
placing posters, hanging banners and setting up timed loud-speakers, which had a
good impact. More and more people have learned the truth and understood the real
features of Jiang Zemin's political group of scoundrels.
However, the evil forces are resisting to the end. Recently, under the
direction of Luo Gan, the Ministry of Public Security urged local police to
solve the so-called "5.10 Changchun City case of making and hanging
loud-speakers". Later, police found seven locations storing Falun Dafa
materials and arrested 14 practitioners including Liu Yaqian. The police took
away some computers, printers, dozens of thousands compact disks,
truth-clarifying prints, many banners and loud speakers.
5. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] The Despicable Conduct of the
Police from the Railway Station of Mudanjiang City
Before October 1 (China National Day) 2001, the police from the railway
station of Mudanjiang City had Teacher Li's photo enlarged and printed onto a
vinyl banner and forced passengers to walk on it to prevent Falun Dafa
practitioners from going to Beijing. Those not stepping on the picture were not
allowed to leave and were investigated.
6. [Deyang District, Sichuan Province] Police investigate and search Falun
Dafa practitioners in a new round in recent days near the National Day
As the National Day approached, police started a new round of investigating
and searching Falun Dafa practitioners, including those practitioners not being
bothered for a long time. They took a "muster roll" and inquired them
about their recent status, for example, "Has anyone given you materials?
Have you contacted others in series? Where have you been recently?" The
police said, "We come to visit you!" But they searched everywhere in
Dafa practitioners' homes and vainly attempted to find "evidence" they
needed.
7. [Ji County, Tianjin City] Falun Dafa Practitioners Are Transferred to Ji
County Labor Camp to Be Persecuted
In September 2001, Shuangkou Labor Camp, Tianjin City transferred five
determined Falun Dafa practitioners including Zhou Xiangyang to Ji County Labor
Camp. The practitioners never bowed to evil forces. The Ji County Labor Camp is
notorious for its endorsement of "No responsibility to beat people to
death". The main work there is to quarry stone with dynamite. The
accidental deaths in the camp are about a few percentages of the inmates per
year. However, according to those released from the camp, it is a hell in this
world and those died there every year are all beaten or tortured to death. Falun
Dafa practitioners from Tianjin are concerned about Zhou Xiangyang and other
practitioners. The police in the camp can conduct any despicable actions. We
appeal all kind-hearted people in the world to pay attention to this matter.
