Falun Dafa Activities in Carinthia, Austria

In order to reveal the truth of Falun Gong to more Austrian people, since this summer Austrian practitioners have been organizing activities to tell people about Falun Dafa in each individual province in Austria. The province at the southern boundary, Carinthia, is right next to Italy. It has beautiful scenery and attracts many tourists every year. This year Carinthia also attracted Falun Dafa practitioners to reveal the truth to its citizens for the first time. Practitioners had contacted the local media prior to the activities, which were published in a local paper. Practitioners from Munich, Germany also came to support us.

Since it was the first time that we had visited the county, many local people knew nothing about Falun Dafa. Our public practice attracted many people, and some even came after reading the report published in the paper. People were shocked by the brutal persecution and were very willing to sign the petition letter to Amnesty International. Many were interested in the exercises, and some had even heard of us before with the Vienna free class. We were encouraged by the local people who said that one day the Falun Dafa practitioners in Mainland China would be treated fairly. Some even said to us that "The stronger the cold wind is, the more solid you practitioners will be." A German tourist told us that he had heard from the media about what was happening in China. He also said he believed that one day the freedom to practise Falun Gong in China would be regained because it was a basic human right. He also asked some questions about Falun Gong, and practitioners explained to him carefully. In the end, he said that Falun Dafa was invincible. Falun Dafa is invincible because the practitioners have no organizations, nor do they object to anyone in particular. But the Chinese government has seen them as enemies. The government is doomed to lose and the Chinese XX Party is doomed to collapse. There was also an Afghani youth who spoke perfect English. He was deeply touched by Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He said that it was exactly what his nation and people needed. He also told us that he would translate Zhuan Falun into his native language and introduce Falun Dafa to people in Afghanistan.

While a practitioner was giving out newspapers in front of the "Truthfulness-Compassion -Forbearance" banner, a strangely dressed man attracted her attention. The man was dressed so strangely that he was wearing a fur hat in summer. Obviously he was attracted to the displayed "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance." This man walked straight to the practitioner and asked, "Where do you come from? My sub-consciousness has led me here. Do you know how fed up I am with the anxiety and dangers in this real world? I am so fed up that I can only live on alcohol to escape the reality. I ended up on the streets. But with you I feel peaceful and cheerful. Especially the three words Truth-Compassion-Forbearance that you have displayed, they make me feel that life is worth living again." After he said this he walked to the table and grabbed the book Zhuan Falun from a pile of literature. He then started to read "LunYu". After he finished he asked if he could get a copy from somewhere. We gave him a copy of Zhuan Falun as a gift. He carefully put the book into the inner pocket of his torn jacket, the most clean part, and left.When we were demonstrating the exercises for the last time of the day, the man returned. He put the book Zhuan Falun back onto the table. He looked around and found out that the practitioner whom he chatted to earlier was in meditation. In order not to disturb others, he whispered into the practitioner's ear, "Now I have already obtained the Fa [law and principles of Falun Gong], and I am no longer scared. Nothing can happen to me now. Thank you!" After saying this he quietly left the site.

We deeply felt that with the progress of the truth clarification, more and more people have awakened from the lies of the Chinese government. More and more people have come to know more about Falun Dafa.
