Some Facts About Dafa Disciples Persecuted In Huanghua City, Hebei Province

Liu Dongling (male): On July 20, 1999, Huanghua City Police Department in Hebei Province took him away from his home. He was illegally detained for twenty-three days and had 5000 Yuan (Chinese dollars, the average monthly income of an urban worker is about 500 Yuan) extorted from him. In October 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal, and was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor education. Since he failed the physical examination required by the labor camp, he was released. Then he was again illegally detained for four months by the Huanghua City Police Department, who then extorted 5000 Yuan as a bail. In July 2000, due to attending a Dafa experience sharing conference, he was illegally detained by the same department for one entire day and then his term was extended. Due to sickness, he was allowed to go home. Later, he was unjustly put on a list of wanted persons by the police since he participated in Dafa activities. Now he has had to leave home and wander around.

Lin Shuzhen (female, in her sixties): On October 4, 2000, she was arrested on the way to Beijing to appeal. She was illegally detained for fifteen days and 500 Yuan was extorted.

Wu Fengmin (male, in his sixties): On October 4, 2000, he was arrested on the way to Beijing to appeal. He had been severely beaten by vicious policeman Shi Jinzhu of Huanghua City Police Department. Though an old man in his sixties, he was slapped in his face many times. He was illegally detained for five days and had to pay 5000 Yuan as extortion. On July 12, 2001, because of attending a Dafa experience sharing conference, he was tricked into going to the same Department and has been detained since then.

Wang Shenghai (male, in his thirties): In May 2001, because of distributing truth-clarifying materials, he was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor education in Shijiazhuang City Labor Camp. When his family members went to visit him, villains in the Labor Camp even forced them to slander the Teacher's name and vilify Dafa.

Wang Shenghua (male, in his thirties): In July 2001, because of attending a Dafa experience exchanging conference, he has been illegally detained since then in Huanghua City Detention Center. Since he started a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention, he was force-fed and beaten up.

Li Zhaochen (male, in his twenties): In July 2000, because of making truth-clarifying materials, he was illegally detained for fifteen days in Huanghua City Detention Center.

Yang Jie (female, in her twenties): In June 2001, after delivering the Teacher's articles to a Detention Center, she was illegally detained for fifteen days. On July 11, 2001, at about 9:00 p.m., the Development District Police Station and Chengguan Police Station of Huanghua City, under the deceptive pretext of "having a meeting," took her and her husband Li Zhaochen to Li's work unit, where they were held for one night. The next day they were sent to the Police Department. Li Zhaochen has been illegally detained since then. Yang Jie was illegally detained for fifteen days and then her term was extended to three months. After her family members had 5000 Yuan extorted from them, she was sent to a brainwashing class. In the illegal brainwashing class, Yang Jie and another practitioner Liu Yufeng firmly denied the evil forces completely unreasonable requirements. Understanding the Teacher's hint, she stepped out of the evil den. Now she cannot live at home.

Li Longfa (male): In May 2000, since a Dafa book was found in his retail department, he was illegally detained by Huanghua City Police Department for fifteen days in Huanghua City Detention Center.

Li Hongying (female, in her twenties), Gao Qingli (female, in her twenties): In April 2001, when computer and truth-clarifying materials were found at their home, they have been detained since then. The confiscated properties at that time were as followed: one computer, typewriter, Dafa books, tape recorder, Dafa banners (many), truth-clarifying materials (two bags), and audiotapes. When ransacking their houses, the police had made a real mess; even all the eggs at home had been boiled and eaten up by these shameless policemen.

Zhang Guodong (male, in his twenties): On August 12, 2001, because of participating in Dafa's activities, he was illegally detained in Dagang. Without notifying any of his family members, the police transferred him to No. 1 Detention Center of Cangzhou City for an illegal detention. Now the Detention Center says that he is a "person under strict control" and does not allow any of his family members to visit him.

Cui Yanli (female): In October 2000, because of refusing to insult the Teacher's name, she was illegally detained for fifteen days and was extorted 5000 Yuan. Later she was extorted 3000 Yuan by Luqiao Town office and was illegally put under house arrest for twenty-five days. On June 23, 2001 she was kidnapped to Luqiao Town and held for one day in the Town Office.

Liu Yufeng (female): In October 2000, she was illegally detained for over ten days by the Luqiao Town office. On February 1, 2001, due to storing Dafa truth-clarifying materials, she was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor education by the Huanghua City Police Department. Being too weak after a hunger strike, she was sent home. Eight months later she was sent to a brainwashing class.

Zhang Chunsan (male): Because of practicing Dafa he was deprived of his chairmanship, his honor of "model employee," and was disqualified for a "special difficulty family" [Note: this allowed him some benefits due to this rating.]

Zhang Chensan (male): On February 1, 2001, because of practicing Falun Gong, he was put on a police wanted list and forced to live in exile. In September of the same year, due to participating in Dafa activities, he has been detained since then in Cangzhou City Detention Center.

Han Wenliang (male, in his thirties): In July 1999, he was illegally detained, and in the year of 2000 he was detained twice. The extorted amount of his money is unknown. In August 2000, due to participating Dafa activities, he was illegally detained in Dagang and then in Cangzhou. His family members have never been notified for both detentions.

Zhang Jing (female): In July 2000, because of looking for Dafa materials through Internet, she was illegally detained for two months and was extorted 1000 Yuan. In April 2001, she has to leave home and live in exile. On August 12, 2001, at a practitioner's home, she was taken away by Dagang Branch of the City Police Department for no reason and was detained in the Detention Center of Dagang Branch of the City Police Department. Later she was secretly transferred to No. 2 Detention Center of Cangzhou City and has been illegally detained since then. During that period of time, her family members had never been informed.

Zheng Yanlin (female): In September 2001, while doing business at her booth, she was taken away deceitfully by Huanghua City Police Department and was illegally detained for fifteen days. Later her term was extended and she has been illegally detained since then.
