Japan: SOS Parade in Tokyo

On November 14, 2001, the two-month long SOS Global RescueWalk across Japan concluded satisfactorily and the teams of the Northern and Southern routes (Sapporo City to Tokyo, and Fukuoka City to Tokyo) met in Tokyo.

On the early morning of November 14, 2001, Dafa practitioners from all over Japan gathered in Abisu Park and started the whole day SOS activities. At 7:55 am, the practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts and had group practice. At 10:00 am, the parade started from the park. The route was different from previous parades by ending in a small park near the Chinese Embassy.

The practitioners wore white T-shirts on which SOS words were printed and held up photos exposing the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. They walked quietly while sending forth righteous thoughts. The long parade proceeded slowly through the busy streets of Tokyo. Passers-by, shoppers, drivers, and those working in the building besides the streets watched the parade. Some passers-by accepted the truth-clarifying newspapers and read it immediately. More and more people came to know Dafa and the truth. Police guarded the parade the whole way. Near the Chinese Embassy, the police were replaced by a new batch. One policeman of the new batch started to yell at the parade and looked utterly discomfited, which was quite discordant with the quiet parade. The practitioners were clear and knew that the madness of the evil forces near the Embassy manifested in this human. The whole parade sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil forces.

At the same time, over ten practitioners went to the Chinese Embassy to appeal and submit an appeal letter to the ambassador. On the same day, the Office of Japanese Primer Minister and the Office of the Governor of Tokyo Metropolitan Government accepted our appeal.
