Falun Gong Practitioner Ren Mengjun Tortured to Death by Handan City Labor Camp in Hebei Province


(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Ren Mengjun, male, 56 years old, was a resident of Dongfeng Village in Shahe City of Hebei Province. He went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in January 2001, and was illegally detained in Xincheng police station after he returned home. Later he was sent to Shahe City Detention Center, and then was transferred to Handan City Labor Camp by policeman Jia Qifang. He was assigned to Unit 5 at the labor camp.

In the labor camp Ren Mengjun was brutally tortured for refusing to give up practicing Falun Gong. When Ren was tortured to the point that his condition was critical, the labor camp urgently asked his family members several times to take him back home, seeking to avoid the responsibility for his impending death. After returning home, Ren was found to be deaf in both ears, he had bruises on his buttocks and legs and blood in his stool and urine, he was unable to eat or drink, and he had suffered severe injury to his inner organs. He said that Unit Captain Wang's brutal beating in the labor camp caused his deafness. Wang once announced that any practitioners who did not give up Falun Gong should be sent to his Unit and he would get them to give up practicing by his methods of torture. Wang instigated criminals to beat Ren heavily with a wooden rod and torture him for a long time.

Several days after returning home, Ren passed away at 4:00 p.m. on October 29. He said "I believe in Dafa and Master" right before he passed away. He died with his eyes open.

We request that the higher authorities investigate this death case, punish the murderers, and eliminate the evil in the police force. We warn the vicious policeman Jia Qifang at Shahe City and Captain Wang and his evil guards in Handan City Labor Camp - you have tainted the glorious title of "the people's police" and became followers of Jiang Zemin's evil regime. Persecution and murder against Dafa practitioners tramples on the conscience of human beings, and it constitutes your choice of your own future.

In addition, Dafa practitioner Gao Baoshan was recently sent to Handan City Labor Camp illegally.

We suggest that all the Dafa practitioners who read this news send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil behind Handan City Labor Camp, requesting all the practitioners illegally detained there to be released unconditionally, and help them leave the labor camp as soon as possible.
