New York Falun Gong Practitioners Appeal in front of Chinese Consulate


New York Falun Dafa Practitioner

At 5:00 p.m. on November 20, 2001, over 100 Falun Gong practitioners from New York gathered in front of Chinese Consulate to appeal and express support for the Western practitioners arrested in Tiananmen Square.

The practitioners held banners reading, "Falun Dafa", "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance", "SOS! Urgent Rescue the Falun Gong practitioners persecuted in China" and "Good is rewarded with good and evil meets evil" in both Chinese and English. They practiced the Falun Gong exercises, sent forth righteous thoughts and distributed Dafa literature in the cold wind for three full hours. It was during the rush hour after work and slow-moving traffic passed the site. Drivers rolled down their windows to request Dafa literature and some stepped forward to ask for Dafa information.

The appeal ended at 8:00 p.m. after they sent forth righteous thoughts one more time.
