An Elementary School Student Clarifies the Truth

(Clearwisdom.net) Following orders from higher authorities, a school instructed every class to hold a meeting to defame Falun Gong. Every student had to declare that he or she didn't practice Falun Gong; otherwise he or she would be punished. One student thought, "Teacher Li didn't do me any harm, why should I curse him? My Mom became healthy after starting to practice Falun Gong, so I cannot curse Falun Gong; otherwise it's like cursing my Mom. Although I do not practice Falun Gong, I should not do anything immoral." When it was her turn to speak, she went up to the stage and said, "There is a public garden near my home which was a Falun Gong practice site. Many grandpas and grandmas used to do Falun Gong exercises there. They have done a lot of good deeds in the past several years. They cleared the snow in the winter, and weeded the garden in the summer. The garden was always very clean under their care. Later on, the government banned Falun Gong, and as a result, nobody comes [to the practice site] to clean the garden and it is so dirty now." "As for the 'self-immolation,'" she continued, "there's no 'self-immolation' content in their Teacher's books, and genuine practitioners would not set themselves on fire. What the TV said is wrong, and what I am telling you is the truth." Her teacher and classmates were astonished to hear that. Her teacher was terribly frightened and said to her, "How dare you say things like this? If the school authorities come to know this, you are finished." The girl replied, "I cannot talk irresponsibly, I must talk truthfully based on the facts. I cannot lie." Afterwards, the school had several anti-Falun Gong signature collection campaigns, but she never signed. Later on her illness was cured, which was possibly a good reward.
