Xia Chongshan, male, 71-year old, went to Beijing to validate Dafa at the end of December 2000. Beijing police extorted 200 Yuan from him. Sui Jianguo in Yuejin Village also extorted 1,900 Yuan from him, which was deducted from his wage.

Liu Lixia, female, 38-year old, was intercepted by Liu Yufeng and Ma Guangru on her way to Beijing to appeal on November 3, 2000. She was illegally detained in Shuangcheng Detention Center for 20 days, during which she was asked to pay a "boarding" fee of 170 Yuan. The 20-day illegal detention brought great difficulties to her family. Zhang Qing, of Nongfeng Village, extorted her family out of 300 Yuan.

Zhao Shufa, male, 57-year old, went to Beijing to appeal on December 31, 2000. He was illegally detained in Shuangcheng Detention Center for 17 days. After he went back to his village, the village government arbitrarily confiscated his 9-mu [equal to 1.5 acre] agricultural land, which was the sole source for his family's livelihood, and then sold the land to others. This shut off the only source of income for his family.

Yu Fenghua, female, 39-year old, went to Beijing to appeal [for Falun Gong] on February 26, 2000. She was illegally intercepted by the policemen at the Changchun City train station. Her local government then sent her to the Shuangcheng Detention Center and illegally detained her there for 27 days. Her 74 Yuan train ticket was confiscated. She had 20 Yuan extorted by Zhang Qing and 500 Yuan by the town government. She was forced to pay "boarding" expenses of 296 Yuan and was treated inhumanely while in the detention center.

Liu Yankai, male, 43 years old, was intercepted by the town officials, including Ma Guangru, on his way to Beijing to appeal on November 3, 2000. He was then sent to a prison for a detention of 19 days. In the prison, the inmates beat and swore at him. The "610" office interrogated and threatened him several times. He was extorted of 160 Yuan by the director of Shuangcheng Detention Center and 150 Yuan by Zhang Qing from Nongfeng.

Shi Liwei, female, 40-year old, went to Beijing to appeal and was arrested on November 17, 2000. She was illegally detained in Beijing for 6 days, in Handan City of Hebei Province for 9 days and in Shuangcheng Detention Center for 15 days. From March 20, 2001, the town government detained him for 65 days. The town official Zhao Jinguo extorted 2000 Yuan from him.

Li Caiying, female, 50-year old, went to Beijing to appeal on December 14, 2000. She was arrested at Tiananmen Square and brought to Tiananmen Police Substation where she was asked where she came from and she refused to answer. She was then brought to another police department and later transferred to the Miyun County Detention Center and detained there for 4 days. Later she was escorted back by the Harbin City Police Department and sent to the Shuangcheng Detention Center by Wei Cong, an official of Chaoyang Town of Shuangcheng City. She was detained there for 14 days. After she was released and went back home, Chaoyang Town officials Li Yueli, Liu Xichen, and Fu Chunlou extorted her of 1,600 Yuan.

Tie Junying, female, 32-year old, went to Beijing to validate Dafa on July 25, 1999. She was illegally detained in Shuangcheng No. 1 Detention Center for two and half months, in the No. 7 Section of Harbin City Police Department for two and half months, and at Wanjia Detention Center for over 7 months. In the detention center, she was given moldy corn bread. She was forced to perform extremely heavy labor in the No. 7 Section. The vicious guards often instigated the inmates to beat her up. She was forcefully brainwashed in the Wanjia Detention Center and inhumanely treated there as if she were in a living hell!

Shen Xiulian, female, was illegally detained by Shuangcheng "610" office on March 5, 2000. On April 4, 2000, she was detained in Shuiquan Town's Home for the Elderly. The door and windows of her room were covered with wire mesh and she was locked in the room at all times without being permitted to go to the bathroom. Yan Taishan is a most wicked villain. She was extorted 1,000 Yuan by the officials from the "610" office and 2,000 Yuan by Shuiquan Town Party Secretary, whose last name is Guan, and official Zhang Bo.

Jin Yuhuan and Zhao Jinfeng, both female, were illegally detained by the Shuangcheng "610" office on March 5, 2000. On April 4, 2000, they were detained in Shuiquan Town's Home for the Elderly. The door and windows of their room was covered with wire meshand they were locked in the room at all times. They were not allowed to go to the bathroom. They were extorted 1,000 Yuan by the officials of the "610" office and 2,000 Yuan by Shuiquan Town Party Secretary, whose last name is Guan, and official Zhang Bo.

Liu Yanjie, female, 37-year old, went to Beijing to appeal in April 2001. She was illegally detained in Shuangcheng No.2 Detention Center. She was released after 40 days of detention. She paid a "boarding" fee of 298 Yuan. In December 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa again. This time she was transferred to the Gaobeidian County Detention Center of Cangzhou City in Hebei Province, where the Detention Center Director extorted a "boarding" fee of 50 Yuan from her (although during this period she was on a hunger strike).

Shi Xiangfeng, male, 20-year old, went to Beijing to appeal for and validate Dafa and was illegally arrested there by police on July 17, 2000. He was escorted back by Zhao Yihe, the Qingling Town Secretary of the Political and Judicial Committee, Yu Guangpei, the Middle School Principal, and Ren Shuangku, a security head. Shi was detained in Shuangcheng Detention Center for 15 days. Ren Shuangku extorted 100 Yuan from him. On December 24, 2000, 6 people from the Qingling Town Police Station and his village went to his home and took him away, lying that they took him to have a conversation. He was illegally detained in Shuangcheng No. 1 Detention Center for 126 days. On July 22, 2001, the village sent 4 people to his home to watch him, did not allow him to go out of his home, and took away his freedom. Now he has no choice but to leave home and wander outside homeless.

Xia Yuanbo, male, 19-year old, went to Beijing to appeal on July 17, 2000. He was arrested and escorted back by Zhao Yihe, the Qingling Town Secretary of the Political and Judicial Committee, Yu Guangpei, the Middle School Principal, and Ren Shuangku, a security head. He was illegally detained in the Shuangcheng Detention Center for 15 days. He was extorted 800 Yuan by the Detention Center Director and 100 Yuan by Ren Shuangku. On December 24, 2000, Wu Wenzhi from Yisheng Village deceived him into going to the village office and sent him to Shuangcheng Detention Center for illegal detention for 126 days. During the detention period, the guards instigated the inmates to beat him up. On July 9, 2000, security head Ren Shuangku and Dong Fushan called him to the village office and asked him if he distributed the truth-clarifying materials. They also beat him until he fainted, and then they poured cold water on his head. His face became deformed due to the torture. He was released when the hoodlums realized that they could not get anything from him. He was forced to leave his home and wander outside homeless.

Wan Jinglin, male, 68-year old, went to Beijing to appeal on July 5, 2000. After he was escorted back, he was illegally detained in the detention center. The policemen in the local liaison office in Beijing extorted 1,000 Yuan from him. Yan Chengkui of Shuangcheng Agricultural Machinery Bureau also extorted 2,000 Yuan from him.

Wan Yunfeng, female, 41-year old, went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa on January 8, 2000 (Lunar calendar). She was arrested and detained in Shuangcheng No. 2 Detention Center for 195 days. She was extorted a "boarding" fee of 1,600 Yuan. On June 28, 200, the Shuangcheng Police Department extorted a bail of 2,000 Yuan from her. The local "610" officials in their Beijing liaison office also extorted 2,000 Yuan from her.

Luo Lianxiang, female, 65-year old, went to Beijing to appeal in June 2000. She was then detained in Shuangcheng No. 2 Detention Center for 40 days. Liu Yuhua from Chengzhen Commune extorted 800 Yuan from her. In February 2001, she was forcefully taken away from her home by Chengzhen Commune and sent to a brainwashing class. She was released forty days later. Chengzhen Commune again extorted 400 Yuan from Liu.
