A Story About Reading Dafa Websites with Attachments


A Western Dafa Disciple

When reading Dafa websites recently I have found that I was reading with attachments that were starting to hinder my Dafa work. Due to my present situation I felt I didn't have time to read all the articles on Dafa websites, so I selected the ones that looked interesting and that I thought could perhaps broaden my understanding of the Fa. I was neglecting to read the articles about practitioners who had been tortured and persecuted to death as I felt that they where all similar. Of course I thought it was horrible that so many good people were being tortured to death, but I didn't feel the necessity to read them all.

One time I was with another practitioner, and we were clarifying the truth about the persecution. The fellow practitioner could recount cases of the persecution that were recent that would strengthen her words when clarifying the truth and add great power to them. When I was clarifying the truth, I found myself often repeating the same horrific cases of torture and thus my understanding on how to clarify the truth did not improve.

From this I understood more thoroughly the principle of selflessness--not doing things from the point of view of self. I hope I can clarify the truth better and save more beings from sinning against Dafa.
