(Clearwisdom.net) One evening, when I was about to study the Fa, I felt that my whole body was very tired. I could hardly open my eyes and just wanted to go to bed. At this time, my 4-1/2-year-old little daughter told me that she saw a demon. I told her, "Don't be scared; let's send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate it."

I then began to seriously send forth righteous thoughts, and I thought in my mind that I would do it for a longer time in order to eliminate it completely. After I finished, I asked my daughter, and she told me the demon was still there. I realized that when I was sending forth righteous thoughts, my mind was not righteous, my thoughts were not pure, and I had an attachment to pursuit. "When we eliminate evil you should keep in mind that if you have the intention of showing off, have ordinary human fears, or have impure thoughts, you won't be able to achieve the goal." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2001 Canada Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience-Sharing Conference")

So this time, I didn't think about anything and just firmly and purely sent forth righteous thoughts. After a while, my daughter clapped her hands and said, "Okay, the demon is dead." She told me that the demon was 2 to 3 inches tall, its whole body was covered with black hair, and it looked very fierce. She also told me that she saw several giant people (gods) helping me to eradicate the demon. After eliminating the demon, the fatigue I previously had was gone completely. So, I started to study the Fa and practice the exercises.

There is another story that also showed me the importance of sending forth righteous thoughts. For the past few months, my little daughter had been coughing quite often. Sometimes, the coughing was so serious that she couldn't even fall asleep. Though she is a bit impatient in doing the exercises and loves to play, she is very serious when studying the Fa. I thought, "If this is the arrangement made by the evil forces, we must not acknowledge it."

We sent forth righteous thoughts several times, but they didn't work. I realized that the evil forces were interfering in our cultivation practice. This time, my daughter and I together sent forth righteous thoughts for 20 minutes, and that night, my daughter coughed no more.

Through these stories, I have seen that the evil forces are all pervasive. We must keep a clear mind and eliminate the evils in time. We must see through them under all kinds of complicated circumstances and eliminate them right away.
