Tsinghua Graduate Student Wang Zhiqiang Disappears in Beijing

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Wang Zhiqiang, male, about 30 years old, from Changchun City of Jilin Province, is a lecturer at Jilin Architecture and Industry Institute as well as a graduate student of Tsinghua University. He has already finished his thesis, but his thesis wasn't deemed acceptable because of his determined cultivation of Dafa. Between February and March 2001, this practitioner suddenly disappeared. One day in July or August, his relative received a letter with more than ten postmarks, which asked them to send money to a mysterious address: "the side-door of 44 Banbuqiao, Xuanwu District, Beijing." It explained that the money would be used for buying and washing this practitioner's clothes. The relative went to Beijing and found the place according to the address and was shocked to see it was a branch of the Beijing Police Department. The relative requested to meet this practitioner but was rebuffed by one officer at the station. The bad-tempered officer said: "Who asked you to come here? Didn't we just ask you to send the money?" Later, between September and October, the relative sent the money to this address, but it was returned. So the relative went to the police station again to find out the reason. The officer at the police station answered: "This person was taken out of here, and I don't know where he is now."

Tsinghua University [one of the top universities in China] should be a place that all knowledge seekers in China respect and want to go to pursue their studies and do research. But nowadays, in the twenty-first century, this university has become a horrible and threatening place where people have no personal guarantee of safety, and where they may be secretly arrested by groundless implication at any time. Now the students and faculty of Tsinghua University all feel unsafe. How can we even talk about a prosperous and strong China with the existence of such state terrorism?

No one knows whether this practitioner is dead or alive. All righteous people inside or outside the country: please pay close attention to this case and extend your support. Also, all alumni of Tsinghua University, no mater where you are, please speak out for justice and appeal so that your kindly school-mates can be freed as soon as possible. This is the true act of loving our country.
