New York Joins Global Efforts to Reveal the Truth about the Illegal Persecution of Falun Gong in Changchun City, Jilin Province.


On Sunday, Nov. 4, about 100 Dafa practitioners from the greater New York area held a press conference, demonstrated the exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts in front of the Chinese Consulate. The truth of the brutal persecution of Dafa practitioners in Changchun City was revealed to the international community. Changchun City is the hometown of Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, and the place where Falun Dafa was first made public.

This event took place at the same time as many other demonstrations at Chinese Embassies and Consulates around the World.

Practitioners gathered at the consulate at 2pm and sent forth righteous thoughts. Then they demonstrated the exercises and passed out truth clarifying materials to people who were walking by and people driving by in cars. Many people stopped to speak with practitioners and learned of the truth of Dafa. Several cars honked their horns in support as they drove by. At 3pm, we sent forth righteous thoughts to eradicate the evil for a second time.

The Press Conference began at 3:15pm. The details of the recent escalation of torture and murder of practitioners in Changchun were read over the load speaker first in English and then in Chinese. The press statement revealed specific information about the evil individuals from Changchun who commit these villainous acts against Dafa practitioners. There was a strong demand to abolish the 610 office and to take charge against Luo Gan.

A reporter from Radio Free Asia interviewed the Chinese spokesperson and then a practitioner from Jilin Province. The Consulate door remained closed during the entire event. At 4:00pm, practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts to eradicate the evil for a third time.
