Dafa Practitioners in A'cheng City, Heilongjiang Province are Arrested, Tortured and Unjustly Fined (continued)

(Clearwisdom.net) Gu Yuqin is a 48 year-old Falun Gong practitioner from A'cheng City. A person from the local police station came to talk to her on the morning of Spring Festival 2001 saying, "The village director would like to talk to you." This police officer asked whether she persisted in practicing Falun Gong. Because she and other practitioners all answered, "yes," they were jailed in the detention center for 58 days. In addition, Gu Yuqin had 200 Yuan RMB (half a month's salary for an average Chinese worker) extorted from her by Wang Hongda, the director of the Sheli Village Police Station in A'cheng City.

He Shuwen is a 56 year-old practitioner. Since Jiang XX and his accomplices framed Falun Gong, the village XX Party Committee, and the director and staff of the police station took turns monitoring her and they also tried to coerce her into signing a document renouncing her belief in Falun Gong. She wasn't moved at all. On the morning of Chinese New Year's Eve 2001, Wang Hongda, the director of the police station in Sheli Village, deceived her into having a talk with him in a village government hall, where he denounced Falun Dafa. She refuted him, saying, "Our teacher is innocent." Wang cursed her and locked her in the detention center, where she was cruelly tortured. He also extorted 3000 Yuan RMB from her family.

Zhang Rongfen is a 38-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from A'cheng City. In June 2000, many practitioners, who had been illegally arrested and detained at the detention center in A'cheng City staged hunger strikes to protest their unlawful incarceration. On June 19, Zhang Rongfen, along with many other practitioners who had also heard of the hunger strikes, went to the detention center to request their release. However, they were all arrested and detained for 57 days. They were interrogated once every 15 days and the police tried to force them to sign a pledge not to practice Falun Gong. Wang Hongda also extorted 3000 Yuan RMB from Ms. Zhang's family. Then on the morning of Spring Festival 2001, Party General Secretary Sun came to ask the village to hold brainwashing classes. Wang Hongda asked Ms. Zhang whether she still practiced Falun Gong and she said, "yes." Then she was put in the detention center's brainwashing class and tortured severely. The guards there worked out schemes on how to torment practitioners under the directive of school principal Wang Fengchun. The practitioners were tortured every day until they couldn't move. Directors Zhou and Ma kicked them down stairs and dragged them from room to room. Ms. Zhang was released on July 9, 2001. When she was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa on July 23, 2001, a wicked man reported her and she was arrested by security and held in the detention center for another 11 days.

Xu Shufeng is a 40 year-old Falun Gong practitioner. She is one of the people who went to visit the practitioners in the A'cheng City Detention Center on June 19, 2000, after hearing that they had been on hunger strike for 7 or 8 days. But in response to her compassionate appeal for their safety, she was forced into a police van and taken to the police station. At 2 a.m., she was sent to the Second Detention Center without trial. There she held a hunger strike to protest her incarceration. On the fifth day they began to force-feed her. The police there were asked to force-feed hunger-striking practitioners spoiled food. The force-feeding resulted in bloody noses of practitioners and their screams could be heard all the time. Even so, Ms. Xu continued her hunger strike for 9 days and then was released after police officer Lu Jitao from Heping Police Station extorted 1000 Yuan RMB from her husband. On November 6, 2000, Ms. Xu went to Tiananmen Square and unfolded a banner saying, "Falun Dafa is good!" She was arrested and sent to a nearby police station. She was held outside the police station for over two hours and then taken inside and locked in a cage. She was transferred to Fangshan Police Station at 12 midnight, where she was tortured continuously for a day and night. On November 14, she was sent back to the Second Detention Center in A'cheng City. She staged a hunger strike and was force-fed for three days. She was transferred to Wanjia Forced Labor Camp on December 26, 2000 and was forced to undergo brainwashing there. Later, she was also sent to special brainwashing classes. She was released on June 18, 2001 after Team 12 Leader Zhang Po of Wanjia Forced Labor Camp extorted 3000 Yuan RMB from her husband.
