One Person Obtains the Fa, the Entire Village Gets Saved

One day when I was living in China, my sister called to tell me that her daughter was ill in hospital. I was in such a hurry to get to the hospital that I was at a loss as to what to bring her. At that time, I had just started to read the book Zhuan Falun, and discovered that my life-long backache no longer bothered me. My whole body also felt very light. Therefore, I decided to bring my niece a copy of Zhuan Falun.

My niece was so ecstatic to see me. She yelled, "Hi Auntie, long time no see! You look at least ten years younger. You have such a healthy complexion. Did you use some exotic herbs, or some expensive skin product? It is so effective! " I took out my copy of Zhuan Falun and told her, "Look what I brought you, the book Zhuan Falun, which has brought about my remarkable transformation."

The patient in the adjacent bed sat up immediately upon hearing the words Zhuan Falun. Her eyes lit up and asked us, "What? Zhuan Falun? I know the book! Teacher Li is the author! Our whole village knows it! I have been searching for this book!" Without prompting, she enthusiastically told us, "Not long ago, a car full of people from a neighboring village was on a sight-seeing trip when the car flipped over and tumbled down a hill. Someone inside called out a person's name for help. The person was calling out Teacher Li's name. The car was completely wrecked, but amazingly nobody inside the car was injured. Since that incident, all the people from the village started practicing Falun Gong. When people from our village heard the story, we also wanted to practice, but we couldn't find a copy of this book (by that time, Zhuan Falun was already banned by the Chinese regime)." While she related her story, she never took her eyes off my copy of Zhuan Falun.

I was in a dilemma, as I had intended to give this copy of Zhuan Falun to my niece. However, I had never seen anyone wanting something this badly, and I didn't have the heart to disappoint her. I asked my niece if she could lend this person the book to read first. Before my niece could respond, the woman said, "Thanks," as she quickly took Zhuan Falun from my hands. She immediately sat in the double lotus meditation position and fervently began reading the book. I later learned from my niece that this woman was supposed to be receiving lower back surgery. Quite unlikely for someone with a back problem, she remained in that position all day long and read the book until well into the night. Before going to sleep, she carefully hid the book, as if someone might steal it. This went on for several days, as she constantly held the book in her hands. It seemed that it would break her heart to give the copy of Zhuan Falun back to my niece.

Subsequently, with great difficulty, I obtained a set of Dafa books and gave it to her, along with instructions on how to find a local practice site. She was an impoverished farmer's wife, and her husband had to borrow money from everywhere to pay for this operation. It turned out that she didn't need the surgery after all, as her back suddenly improved. She left the hospital after only a few days' stay. Dafa is so magnificent!

Looking back, the only regret I have is that I didn't ask for her address, which would allow me to send more Dafa books to her village, satisfying every villager's longing for Dafa.
