A special report from the Central News Agency (CNA) on December 12 stated that the Canadian Parliament member and Falun Gong supporter, Rob Anders was pleased that Montreal Superior Court ordered the Montreal-based Chinese newspaper, "La Presse Chinoise Eastern," to stop publishing and spreading anti-Falun Gong articles. Anders also commended this as a judicial victory because it is the first time that the court gave orders to stop spreading fabricated, untruthful and misleading news regarding Falun Gong.

Cultivation Story

A Falun Gong practitioner from a village in Hebei Province firmly safeguards Dafa. Before he obtained Dafa, his health was poor, and he often quarreled with his wife. But after obtaining Dafa his health improved, and he led a happy and harmonious life. During the initial persecution against Falun Gong in 1999, he used the money he had saved for many years to go to Beijing to appeal. Consequently, he was detained for 14 days and has been destitute and homeless since then. On October 1, 2000, he once again went to Tiananmen Square to rectify Dafa. He was arrested, beaten and sent to prison. Despite the hardships, he is now traveling from place to place to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa.

Latest News From China

Today, 269 people published their solemn announcement and declared that all they have said and done and that others wrote, representing them, under great pressure and persecution by the evil that does not conform to Dafa are completely void! They will cultivate resolutely from now on and redouble their efforts in making up for the loss they caused to Dafa. They will keep up with the progress of Fa rectification and walk on their path arranged by Teacher with determination.

On December 12, CCTV (Chinese Central Television) directed another ugly "play" and claimed a person in Hainan Province who was crazy from studying Falun Gong killed his uncle. The evidence was a copy of Zhuan Falun and several other qigong books on a table. In Zhuan Falun it is clearly stated that practitioners shouldn't keep other qigong books, so we can see that these slanderers are fabricating lies to delude the people and to frame Falun Gong.

Overseas News

Toronto practitioners held a holiday party at the North York Central Library on December 10, 2001. At the party, practitioners thanked all concerned Canadians for their understanding, support and assistance. Practitioners also called on the Canadian government to expel visiting Chinese officials who are directly involved in persecuting Falun Gong and therefore have seriously violated the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Canadian laws.

The World Journal reported on December 12, 2001 that the Quebec Supreme Court issued a court order prohibiting the Montreal-based Chinese newspaper "La Presse Chinoise Eastern" from publishing materials defaming Falun Gong. The author was also ordered not to circulate defamatory anti-Falun Gong materials under any circumstances.

Practitioners from far and wide promote Dafa in unison. Practitioners from Taiwan, the United States, Europe and Australia gathered in Russia and Ukraine to share experiences in cultivation and Fa promotion. Together, they organized study groups, held art shows, and presented photo exhibitions of "Journey of Fa Rectification" in different cities.

On World Human Rights Day, the Baltic Falun Dafa Association wrote to the Chinese ambassador in Latvia, asking him to demand the dismissal of "the 610 Office," the release of all the detained Falun Gong practitioners and that those who are responsible for killing and torturing Falun Gong practitioners are brought to court.

Report of the Demonstration in front of the Chinese Embassy in Latvia on World Human Rights Day: When practitioners unfurled a banner reading "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" in front of the Embassy, journalists attending the event could not understand why the Chinese police arrest people for doing the same thing in China.

Practitioners in Toronto clarified the truth of Falun Gong to the Chinese Delegation Seeking Overseas Personnel with rationality and wisdom and in a peaceful and harmonious manner. They demonstrated the fact that Falun Dafa is welcomed overseas and exposed the crimes of the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese government.
