"Clarify the truth thoroughly, eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts, save all beings, and safeguard the Fa with determination" (Dafa is Indestructible)

UK Local Councillor Sends Letter of Support to Practitioner

Dear Ms Zhengfang

Thank you for your letter of 3 September that I did not receive until 4 October. I do of course sympathise totally with you and with the plight of baby Minghui.

For many years the County Council has had cultural and commercial links with the province of Jiangsu. When these links were first established, concerns were raised about the human rights issues and we took advice from the Foreign Office. That advice was firmly in favour of establishing such links as the most effective way of influencing attitudes. That advice is as relevant today as it was then and this is the policy that the County Council is pursuing.

I realise that the fact that I will not be signing your letter will come as a disappointment to you but this does not mean that we will not be taking action to bring about change through our established links.

Yours sincerely,

Councillor Joe Pike

Chairman of the Council
