A growing number of policemen, military personnel, government officials and people in general are coming to know the truth about the goodness of Falun Dafa and the persecution. People are turning from hatred and fear based on their ignorance to supporting and praising Falun Dafa.

Today, 171 people published solemn declarations that clearly stated that everything they have said and done while suffering persecution that did not conform to Dafa is completely void! They declared that they would firmly cultivate Dafa, completely reject the persecution and arrangement by the evil forces, eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts, make up for the loss they caused during Fa-rectification, and become true Dafa practitioners.

The police from Shijiazhuang Labor Camp brutally tortured practitioners using electric shocks, beatings, sleep deprivation, and the most malicious means -- electric batons to deliver shocks on female practitioners' private areas. They also hung up practitioners with rope. They tied some practitioners so tightly that they ended up tearing the newly purchased nylon rope, causing some practitioners to lose consciousness right away.

The police from Qingyangzhengjie Police Station of Chengdu City in Sichuan Province kidnapped several Dafa practitioners on July 11. One practitioner was injured when he tried to get out of the police vehicle. He refused to cooperate with the evil and went on a hunger strike in the hospital. While there, he also clarified the truth to other patients. In the end the police had to release him.

Practitioners in Yitong County, Jilin Province were illegally detained, brutally tortured, forcefully brainwashed and extorted money.

A 60-year-old practitioner rode a bike to the countryside and distributed the Dafa truth-clarifying materials to passersby and peasants working on the farmland. She said sincerely, "My friend, this is Falun Gong material, please take a look at it and ask your family and friends to read it also." On her way, she met government officials and relatives whom she hadn't seen for a long time. Numerous predestined connections were made and many lives were saved.

On December 15, a Chinese Consulate employee slandered Falun Gong at the annual meeting of Science Association for Overseas Chinese held in New Jersey, which caused resentment from the members at the meeting, so he had to end the libel hastily.

At the European Union Meeting on December 12, practitioners in France had a friendly conversation with many members of the European Parliament. They were very concerned about Chinese practitioner Zhao Ming from Ireland, who is detained in China, and they plan to sign a "freedom passport" to rescue him.

CCTV (Chinese Central Television) directed another "play" in which a person who had supposedly gone insane from studying Falun Gong murdered several people. Following Jiang Zemin's vicious orders "defame them politically, bankrupt them financially, and destroy them physically," CCTV fabricates stories and deceives people.

A letter to my Buddhist friends: As a result of cultivating in Falun Dafa, I gradually came to understand the benevolent compassion of Buddha toward all sentient beings. There is not a bit of selfishness in the realm of selflessness; it is totally living for others. Both my field of vision and breadth of mind were broadened, and I came to understand more about the meaning of life.

After starting to learn Dafa in May 1999, all her diseases disappeared in a short time. After the persecution started, she went to Beijing to appeal and was beaten. She was detained three times for distributing truth-clarifying materials. To avoid being arrested again she abandoned her home and sometimes had to spend her nights in farmers' fields. On New Years' Eve she, along with over 300 practitioners, cried out "Falun Dafa is Good!" in Tianjin Train Station. A police guard took out a 10-Yuan bill from his wallet and told her to go and buy some gasoline and use it to commit suicide. The practitioner refused to do that and told the guard that the people who had tried to kill themselves on Tiananmen Square were not practitioners. For this, the guard beat her until she passed out. She was finally released after 10 days of unlawful detention.

I started to learn Dafa in 1996. In the beginning, I did not dare to step forward to validate Dafa. After I saw the story of a handicapped practitioner who went to Beijing to validate Dafa, I finally went to Tiananmen Square with righteous thoughts and cried out, "Falun Dafa is Good!" I fulfilled my vow made ages ago and returned home safely.

3. From an elderly person:

I became farsighted at the age of 50 and I had to squint my eyes when weaving. However, after my celestial eye was opened, my eyes became as good as new. Ever since I started to practice Falun Gong six years ago, all the illnesses that I had been suffering have all disappeared, and I have never taken any medicine. Falun Gong gave me a healthy body. Isn't it good?

4. The cultivation story of a technical schoolteacher with rock-solid righteous thoughts:

In order to "reform" him [force him to give up Falun Gong], the Pingantai Forced Labor Camp in Gansu Province invited several so-called experts to come over to help. During several hours of "discussion" with the experts, he refuted them with the high-level Buddha Fa and vivid examples, rendering them speechless. They came to understand some phenomena that objectively exist and are reflected into our physical dimension as concrete manifestations.

5. Elevating ourselves during the Fa-rectification cultivation:

In May 2000, I, along with my husband who was then a high-ranking official, went on a sightseeing trip. During the trip, we clarified the truth and exposed the evil to people who received us along the way. Many of them are also high-ranking officials and we thus had a chance to promote Dafa to them. In July, our home was illegally ransacked and we were unlawfully arrested and detained. During the detention, my husband gave in under the duress. However, after he was released, he realized his mistake and wrote a "solemn statement" and came back to the path of Fa-rectification cultivation.
