Letter from UK MP (Member of Parliament) Supporting a Falun Gong Practitioner's Attempts to Obtain Her Daughter's Nationality

Bill Tynan MP
House of Commons Office, Westminister
London SW1A 0AA

7/12/2001

Dear Mrs. Mo,

Thank you for your kind words with regards to my signing of EDM 304.

I would like to reassure you of my interest in your daughter's case and of the denial of other human rights in China. As well as monitoring the treatment of Falun Gong practitioners, I have also received representations from within my own constituency about the persecution of Christians and have taken appropriate steps to raise this issue with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

I am pleased to note that dialogue has taken place between the Chinese and British Authorities concerning your daughter and I hope that the outcome will be a positive one. My thoughts are with you at this very difficult time.

Yours sincerely

Bill Tynan MP
