An Open Letter from an Australian Member of Parliament: I Am Impressed by the Sincerity of Falun Dafa Practitioners

To Whom It May Concern:

Totalitarian governments cannot bear a rival loyalty in civil society, even if the rival is a system of meditation and exercise. Falun Dafa is such a system with the mottos: Truth, Compassion and Forbearance. I am impressed by the sincerity of its practitioners. I am disturbed by the dreadful treatment of its practitioners by the ruling party of the People's Republic of China.

Speaking as a Member of Parliament in Australia, I find it hard to believe that a government that aspires to be regarded as living by the rule of law could inflict such cruelty on devotees of a system of meditation and exercise. This cruelty does not go unnoticed. I am impressed by the courage with which Falun Dafa practitioners in China bear this adversity and also by the work that their comrades in Australia do to bring this treatment to the attention of Australia.
