(Clearwisdom.net) [Northwestern China] Practitioners Display a 90-Meter-Long Banner At noon on December 15, 2001, in order to "celebrate together, rejoice
together, and exalt together" over Teacher's new article "Foretelling
the Fa's Rectification of the Human World," practitioners in a city of
Northwestern China hung up a 90-meter-long, (280 feet long) huge Dafa banner on
the mountaintop, the summit of the city. The banner was golden-colored, with
dozens of 5 meter-square word characters. It shone brilliantly in the sunlight.
People said the banner could be seen clearly from the center of the city. At the
same time there were countless small banners, like primroses blooming in the
mountain. This feat frightened the evil forces. The authorities dispatched
dozens of policemen to search the mountain. But they got nothing. Practitioners
all safely returned. Some of these banners were hung up for three to four hours.
These practitioners amazed all the local people. [Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, Liaoning Province] After Two-month's Hunger
Strike of Practitioner Sun Xiaomei from Dalian City is in Critical Condition Practitioner Sun Xiaomei from Dalian City is illegally detained in No.6 group
of No.2 Female Institute in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. In order to resist
the vicious persecution, she has gone on a hunger strike for 2 months. She was

Department detained practitioners Qiu Xinghua and Qiu Sihui, who are sisters,
when they were clarifying the truth. As they held righteous thoughts and did not
cooperate, they had to jump off the fourth floor of police department to escape
the persecution. Their pelvises were fractured and they were severely injured.
Now they are in the intensive care unit at Anshan City's Central Hospital for
emergency treatment. When their family heard about the news and tried to visit
them in the hospital, the police refused their request and guarded the ward
around the clock. The sisters, Qiu Xinghua and Qiu Sihui, firmly believe in "Truthfulness,
Benevolence and Forbearance." They had been forced to live in exile to
resist the vicious persecution, leaving their kids at home with no one taking
care of them. They stepped forward to clarify the truth, validate Dafa and
offered salvation to people. This had greatly frightened the evil. We could not forget that just three months ago, the vicious authorities from
Anshan City's Police Department and from the "610 Office" (An
agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over
each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary

Chun and Others in the Huadian Detention Center On January 8, 2001, officers from the city police department kidnapped Dafa
practitioner Mao Chun. Their excuse was to "check on some
information." On January 22, 2001, he was illegally arrested and detained
in Huadian Detention Center and has been held there until now. Because the
police did not have enough evidence, there was no final decision on his case.
From November till December 6, 2001, Mao Chun had gone on hunger strike for 16
or 17 days to appeal for unconditional release. Due to the hunger strike, Mao
Chun's throat was so swollen that it was blocked. His mouth and tongue were
festering. He became emaciated and was at his last gasp of breath. His relatives
couldn't even recognize him. They appealed to Zhou Jian, the official of the
Political and Judiciary Committee and the head of "610 Office." (The
"610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun
Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all
other political and judiciary systems). Zhou Jian asked them to go to appeal
to the Supreme Court of the province. There wasn't any reply the following day.
The relatives asked the detention center to send Mao Chun to a hospital but they
were refused. Although Mao Chun is in such serious condition, Zhou Jian told his
relatives, "Someone will take care of it if anything goes wrong." Guo Baochen, Guo Chengxiang and Duan Liangjun are also detained for extended

deceived into the detention center from my home four times and have also been
fined because I steadfastly cultivated Dafa and have refused to cooperate with
the police criminals. They also extorted money from many practitioners in my
county. In January 2001 I heard that they would arrest me again. I left home that
night and worked in other places. The authorities wrote a "promise
statement" with the official seals of the police department, the "610
Office" and the county government, saying that if I would return home they
would not detain or fine me anymore. My innocent and honest relatives trusted
them. As a result, the officers once again detained me in the police department
and asked my relatives to pay money for my release. Because my family really
couldn't afford the money, I was detained in the detention center again. I took
chance and stepped out of the detention center. Now I am homeless and cannot
return home. [Pingquan County, Hebei Province] Some Facts About the Persecution of Dafa Practitioners Practitioner Liu Yuzhi from Pingquan County, Hebei Province went to Beijing
four times to validate Dafa. Later she practiced in front of the Pingquan
Detention Center, appealing for the release of Dafa practitioners. She went on a
hunger strike for more than 40 days in the detention center. After that, she was
sent to a forced labor camp in Tangshan City. She was only released after she had
been tortured to the point of becoming mentally disoriented. Practitioner Shi Yan went to Beijing five times to validate Dafa. (He went on
a hunger strike many times). The last time he and several other practitioners
unfurled a big banner in Tiananmen Square. Because the police car was full, he
and his wife were not taken away. Now they are living in exile. Practitioners Liu Wenji and Liu Wenshu are brothers. Many times they helped
fellow practitioners hold group Fa-study and practice the exercises. They have
been put into a detention center many times. At last, they went to Tiananmen
Square to validate Dafa and were sentenced to jail. Liu Wenshu's wife Li Ruiyun
was sent to a forced labor camp after she went to Tiananmen Square to validate
Dafa. Their sons Liu Yi and Liu Bao have now become destitute and homeless. Practitioner Wang Shuwen, his wife Liu Yulan and his brother Wang Jinquan
were illegally sent to a forced labor camp because they went to Beijing to
validate Dafa and distribute truth-clarifying materials. [Anhui Province] Practitioners and Righteous People Resist Brainwashing
Classes It was reported that recently many practitioners from Anhui Province
successively went to Tiananmen Square to validate Dafa. Fa-rectification banners
also appeared at many places in the local area. This has effectively eliminated
the evil and awakened the conscience of everyday people. Under the evil's
persecution in the brainwashing classes, more and more practitioners firmly went
to Tiananmen Square. They sufficiently validated that "coercion can't
change people's hearts," and also declared the termination of the
brainwashing classes. It is reported that the evil's brainwashing classes were
hard to carry through because of the resistance from practitioners, officials
from relevant units and some everyday people who became more and more clear-minded. [Xiangfan City, Hubei Province] The Persecution Case of Falun Gong
Practitioners 1, Tang Jianhua, because of her firm belief in Falun Dafa, the local
policemen have searched her house many times and even illegally took away all
her cash and bankbooks. Tang Jianhua reasonably asked them to return the
property many times. Wang Feng, a policeman from the Zhongyuan Police Station,
said, "Only if you give up practicing Falun Gong, can we return your
property." 2, Liu Weishan, female, 40 years old, was a teacher of an affiliated school
of the Hanjiang Machinery Factory. One day this year, personnel from the
security section of the unit entrapped and arrested her at her work place. Then
she was illegally detained at the "education classes" held in a forced
labor camp in Xiangfan City, and suffered abuses and tortures. Now her living
condition is so poor that she has to beg for food. We appeal to all kind-hearted people with a sense of justice to support and

discover an even more severe plot behind the scenes-- the strict management
team. The practitioners unlawfully detained in the labor camp are divided into

Persecution In the past two years, under the horrible persecution led by Jiang Zemin and
Luo Gan, some lawless officials in Yubei District have been closely following
the political directives of Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan regime to do bad deeds. As a
result, a lot of practitioners have been thrown into prisons and suffered from
brutal persecution. Up until now, according to incomplete statistics, in Yubei
District alone, practitioners being illegally held or being illegally held for
an extended period of time include: Wang Yan (female), Tan Fenghao, Wen Zuming,

at Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp for an extended period of time, are now
out of prison. However, they are not really free. They are constantly being
monitored and followed by policemen and the wicked persons bought out to do
this. Under the instructions of the local "610 Office," the two
brainwashing classes in Yubei District and Chuandong Oil Base forced each and
every practitioner to pay 5,000 Yuan. They forced every practitioner to
write the so-called "Guarantee Letter" to renounce Falun Dafa;
otherwise they would not release practitioners. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Please Continue to Pay Attention to
Practitioner Li Yongjun's Situation Practitioner Li Yongjun being held at Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp on
an extended term is now conducting a hunger strike. Around December 9, 2001, she
was put into solitary confinement and cruelly tortured. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Practitioners in Tumen City Suffer Persecution On September 9, the police duped some practitioners into a mountain area and
set up a brainwashing class there. Practitioners refused to cooperate with them.
A man called "Director Zhang" ordered the policemen to forcibly carry
practitioner Liu Zhenli into the police wagon and send him to the Tumen
Detention Center. The practitioners carried out a hunger strike there. A
practitioner sat in the meditation exercise just in front of the policemen and
was dragged to the 2nd floor by the furious policemen. The other
practitioners warned the policemen not to beat or take the practitioner away.
They collectively sent forth righteous thoughts, and as a result, the policemen
on the 2nd floor didn't beat that practitioner and talked with the practitioner
in a nice manner. Shortly afterwards, they sent the practitioner back. There were four practitioners being sent to the detention center. Xue Xiuhua
(female) continued her hunger strike in the detention center. A director
together with several guards attempted to force feed her; they even cut the
practitioner's throat. On the second time when they were force-feeding her, the
other practitioners collectively sent forth righteous thoughts, so the guard
failed to do so and had to finish it hastily. Some guards there were extremely cruel. A female guard with the last name of
"Dai" told prisoners to beat practitioners whenever they are seen
doing the exercises. A practitioner named Mo Liying (female) tried to persuade
her not to do evil. However, she handcuffed the practitioner's hands to the iron
window bars. During Xue Xiuhua's twelve-day hunger strike, two guards viciously
told prisoners that, "It doesn't matter if she dies, all you need to do is
inform us." Under the instruction of section chief Cui of Political & Judiciary
Committee, the police broke practitioner Liu Zhenli's leg and dumped him back
home. Three practitioners were sent to brainwashing class one month after being
released. They were caught after they were forced to leave home. Among them is
an over-60-year-old woman. A poisonous snake bit her when the criminal police
forced her head under water in a river. She didn't get treatment in time and
nearly lost her life. The other two practitioners were beaten by Minister Nong
Zhigao until they had bruises all over their faces and arms. Their wounds could
not recover even after more than 20 days. In September, another six
practitioners were illegally sentenced to forced labor camp. On the eve of
October 1, the ruffians again arrested a lot of practitioners and put them in
the detention center. Nong Zhigao even got promoted for doing this. [Chongqing City, Sichuan Province] A Dafa Practitioner from Yubei District is
Kidnapped On December 9, practitioner Tian Qimei (female) from Yubei District was taken
away by police officers when posting truth-clarifying materials. Her situation
is unknown now.
