Age: 'Terrorists in China are not Falun Gong'
By Carol Dobson
At a time when 'terror' is discussed gravely, it is
sad yet not
surprising that China is attempting to link Falun Gong
with
international
terrorism. John Schauble's article 'Falun Gong faces
new terror net'
(the Age, 20,12) highlights the irony taking place in
China.
This superpower will use any means to justify its
crackdown on Falun
Gong. As a member of the WTO and also home to the 2008
Olympics, China
has to learn about human rights - the cornerstone of
what this war on
terror is fighting for.
Unfortunately, terrorism comes in many ugly forms,
and the fact
is there is state terrorism in China.
