The "610" Office (a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches) in a city was going to hold a brainwashing class and was planning to send a female practitioner to the class. The father of the practitioner went directly to her boss' office. When he entered the office, the head of the "610" Office and a couple of leaders of the company were holding a secret meeting. Her father, seeing the situation, lifted his hand to send forth righteous thoughts. Seeing his gesture, the faces of the few bad people in the office turned bright red. They walked out of the office in a hurry.

In July 2001, a practitioner and his wife had just finished printing some truth-clarifying literature when the head of the "610" office entered their home with some policemen. The wife went to greet them and calmly talked with them while husband went to their inner room to put away the literature. They both sent forth righteous thoughts, so that the evil people were not able to find anything after about two hours' stay in their home.

A monk who was more than eighty years old wanted to learn something about Falun Gong but could not find any information. Just by coincidence, a countryside woman who could not read brought him a package of Falun Gong truth-clarifying literature. She had walked about a dozen miles to see the monk in order to ask him to help her read what she brought him. The monk thus obtained an opportunity to learn the truth about Falun Gong.
