Falun Gong Practitioners in the County of Xinjin County, Sichuan Province Face Unlawful Imprisonment and Detention, Extortion of Money (Incomplete Statistics)

Unlawful sentence and imprisonment:

1. Zhang Yue, male, age 33, employee of Xinjin County Xiwang Feedstuff Factory. On February 1999, he went to Beijing to clarify the truth. Consequently, he was illegally detained and unlawfully sentenced to 3 years imprisonment. He is now detained in Deyang City's Huangxu Town Prison.

2. Chen Jingchuan, male, 59 years old, resided at 61 Xicang Street, of Xinjin County. He went to Beijing to clarify the truth twice. In December 1999, vicious police unlawfully arrested Chen at his home while he was making a truth-clarifying banner. All his property was confiscated. He still has not received any retirement pension as yet. He was unlawfully sentenced to 4 years imprisonment. He is now detained in Deyang City's Huangxu Town Prison.

3. Zhang Qiongfang, female, age 36, resided at Broadcast Bureau Dormitory located at Xinjin County Yuexiang Street. She went to Beijing to clarify the truth twice. In December 1999, she was unlawfully arrested by vicious police in Beijing and sentenced to 3 years imprisonment. She has been illegally dismissed from her workplace and is detained at Jianyang City's Yangma Female Prison.

Unlawful detention:

1. Ding Feng, male, age 27, resided at Xinjin County Vocational High School. He went to Beijing to clarify the truth twice. In December 1999, he was unlawfully arrested by vicious police in Beijing and he was extorted 5000 Yuan RMB (average monthly wage is about 500 Yuan RMB). His wage has been suspended and he was illegally dismissed from his workplace. He is now detained in Mianyang City Xinhua Labor Camp.

2. Liu Xueming, male, age 51, resident of Puxing County. He went to Beijing to clarify the truth twice. In December 1999, he was unlawfully arrested in Beijing. After the two unlawful arrests, his home and property was confiscated. He is detained in Mianyang City Xinhua Labor Camp.

3. Liu Rong, female, age 25, Liu Xiuming's daughter. She went to Beijing to safeguard the Fa twice. In December 1999, she was unlawfully arrested in Beijing. She is now detained in Zhizhong City Nanmusi Female Labor Camp.

4. You Qiong, female, age 48, Liu Xueming's wife. In December 1999, she was unlawfully arrested in Beijing while clarifying the truth. She is now detained in Zhizhong City Nanmusi Female Labor Camp.

5. Zhan Min, female, age 34. She went to Beijing to safeguard the Fa twice. She has been unlawfully arrested several times and extorted 5000 Yuan RMB by vicious police. Her wage has been suspended. She is now detained in Zhizhong City's Nanmusi Female Labor Camp.

6. Li Jianying, female, age 34. She went to Beijing to safeguard the Fa and was unlawfully arrested. She is now detained in Zhizhong City's Nanmusi Female Labor Camp.

7. Zhang Qiang, male, age 28, resident of Xinjin County Dormitory of Industrial and Commercial Bank. In December 1999, he was unlawfully arrested when he went to Beijing to clarify the truth. He has been extorted 5000 Yuan RMB by vicious police. His wages have been suspended. He is detained in Mianyang City Xinhua Labor Camp.
