The Facts Regarding the Kidnapping, Beating and Extorting of Money from Falun Dafa Practitioners in Suning County, Hebei Province

1. Yu Shulan, a 50 years old female, from Yuanzuo Village of Fuzuo Township, Suning County, was forcibly taken to the police station because she was determined to cultivate Falun Dafa. She was forcibly stripped of her clothes and detained completely naked. She denounced the evil policemen by saying: "You are scoundrels!" However, the evil police replied shamelessly: "Yes, we are scoundrels."

2. Qian Xiaohua, a 36 years old female, is from Quyi Village of Shisu Township. During the Chinese Spring Festival, policemen forced themselves into her house and threatened her by ordering her to pay a bond fee of 5000 Yuan RMB.

3. The police station in Shangcun Town of Suning County put out an order that every Falun Gong practitioner who hasn't been to Beijing to appeal, has to pay a bond fee of 300-500 Yuan. In this way, the county extorted over ten thousand Yuan from Dafa practitioners.

4. Female practitioner Wang Ruiying of Chengguan Town, 55 years old, was kidnapped on her way to Beijing to appeal. She was kept in a detention center for over a month, and she was forced to pay a fine of 3000 Yuan. Some time later, she was fined another 5000 Yuan.

5. Female practitioner Zhu Xiurong of Chengguan Town, was sent to a detention center and kept there for over 20 days. She was fined 3000 Yuan. Her salary was cut off as well. All of this happened because the policemen suspected that the above-mentioned lady Wang Ruiying had put her bicycle in Zhu Xiurong's house, although they couldn't find bicycle at all.

6. Song fengzhi and Li Xiangfen went to Beijing to rectify the Fa. Later, They were kept in custody for over two months and were fined 5000 Yuan. Before the Chinese Spring Festival, they were sent to a detention center again by the former head person of the county Political Security Brigade Li Chengxiang, and the President and the Vice President of the Public Security Bureau, Yu Jinbiao and Li Zhiyuan. It was said that the two practitioners could be released back home within half a month, but they are still in the detention center now.

7. He Xiujuan of Chengguan Town, Suning County, a 57 years old female retired worker, was detained for a month and was asked to pay 6000 Yuan (2000 Yuan as a fine and 4000 Yuan as a deposit) because she spread Falun Dafa materials.

On November 17^th, 2000, she was beaten up brutally by evil policemen because she went to Beijing to clarify the truth and rectify the Fa. She was then sent back to her own county detention center on November 24^th 2000. Her husband and her daughter-in-law were forced to work with no payment (by the village director Qi Jinsheng) for over a year. He Xiujuan herself was expelled from her job.

In 2001, the provincial officials in Cangzhou issued an arrest warrant of He Xiujuan. On March 13^th, 2001, without notifying He herself and her family members, the county court start a secret hearing. We happened to walk by a red van and saw He Xiujuan sitting inside the van. So we followed her to the court hearing. There were about 20 visitors. All the testimonies given were false.

8. Female practitioner Song Tixin, from Nanshibao Village of Fuzuo Township, was detained for 5 days and forced to pay a fine of 2000 Yuan. Her feet became frostbitten and turned black in color.

Under the brutal persecution from the Town Secretary Wang Fashui and the head person of the Town Police Station Yu Hongjun, three practitioners Song Tixin, Pei Guixue and Li Yanjun were forced to put their fingerprints on the false testimonies [the policemen used these to persecute Ms. He Xiujuan in item 7 above.] However, when those three practitioners heard about the secret court hearing for Ms. He Xiujuan, they rushed to the court to withdraw the testimonies from Judge Huang Zhicheng. However, Judge Huang Zhicheng refused to see them, and his attitude was very bad.

9. Gao Feitian, a 50 years old man , from Qingkou Village of Shangcun Town, was detained by the Suning County Public Bureau for over a month and suffered inhuman torture because he went to Beijing to appeal. During the detention time, he was beaten up by 5-6 real prisoners. He had wounds all over his body, and was not permitted to sleep for over 20 days. His feet and fingertips were frostbitten and numb and have turned black in color. He was also fined 5000 Yuan.
