Falun Gong practitioners in Birmingham hosted the UK National Fa Study Day on 2 December, which is a monthly event held in addition to many local weekly Fa group studies. Nearly 50 practitioners from many areas of the UK participated in the event, which started with the study of Master's articles published since 2000 and recent Minghui/Clearwisdom articles on clarifying the truth to people in China.

Following the reading session, practitioners shared understandings, experiences and ideas of clarifying the truth to Chinese people. One London practitioner's parents visited them from China and within two months the two elderly persons have completely seen through the lies of the Jiang Zemin propaganda and have actually joined their son in sending forth righteous thoughts and practicing the Falun Gong exercises.

In the past, distributing information to visitors from China was regarded at times as tasks left to people who did not have a good enough mastery of English to take on other truth clarifying work, but now Western and veteran practitioners have taken the lead in these efforts. Veteran practitioners from Oxford started this work after realizing that Oxford is a major tourist attraction that is on the itinerary of many visitors from China. They had little success initially when trying to give out booklets to the Chinese visitors, but found greater success when they simply displayed many well presented posters and played pre-recorded information on Falun Gong and the persecution next to the posters. The visitors spent much time reading through the posters while listening to the information on the tape.

Many other good ideas for disseminating information at major tourist attractions-- notably attractive VCDs--were discussed.

One Qinghua graduate from Beijing who is now carrying out his research in Manchester explained that he spends about 6 hours a day in efforts to get the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution to academics in China. Others described the powerful effects of making telephone calls and sending faxes to both evil persecutors and everyday people in China.

The rapid Fa rectification process has advanced to a major new stage--clarifying the truth to people in China. One practitioner shared his understanding that removing the hatred in the minds of the people in China will remove the material basis that the evil forces are holding onto for their final moments of existence. Removing the hatred will also give a bright future to one billion people and their corresponding cosmic systems. Doing so at this moment is forging forward with the Fa rectification process, which requires a broadening of perspective and redirection of focus from Chinese people living in the UK to visitors from Mainland China. Several practitioners also mentioned that their efforts of revealing the truth to the Chinese people appear to be more powerful now.
