Former Beihai City Deputy Director of the Public Security Bureau and Persecutor of Dafa Sentenced For Bribery

(Clearwisdom.net) Zhongxin Net reported on November 25 that Zhou Yisheng, the former Deputy Director of the Public Security Bureau in Beihai City, Guangxi Autonomous Region, was sentenced to 8 years and 6 months for bribery by the Intermediate Court in Nanning City.

Investigations by the prosecutor's office confirmed that when Zhou Yishen was the director of the Haicheng Branch of the Public Security Bureau, he accepted a bribe of 130,000 Yuan during sale of land owned by the Haicheng Police Station. Later, Zhou Yisheng used this money to buy high-ranking official titles for himself. In 1996, he gave the chairman of the government of the Guangxi Autonomous Region 3000 US dollars to make himself the director of the public security bureau.

Since Jiang Zemin's group started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, the authorities in Beihai City, Guangxi and the police have closely followed their orders. According to incomplete statistics, practitioners in Beihai City have been sent to detention centers and forced labor camps nearly 200 times. Everyone on their blacklist has been arrested at least once. Some of them have gone in and out of detention centers and forced labor camps several times.

On New Year's Day 2001, those practitioners who had gone to Beijing, clarified the truth, and persisted in practicing Falun Dafa were all arrested and thrown into drug rehabilitation centers and detention centers to attend so-called "legal study classes." Furthermore, practitioners were subjected to various tortures, such as electric shocks and beatings. Many of them were seriously injured in the process. So far, family members of these practitioners have not been allowed to visit them, and the houses of these practitioners have been ransacked several times.

34-year-old Huang Jinchun, a judge of the Civil Division of Intermediate Court in Beihai City, went to Beijing for a peaceful appeal in September of 1999. This made the Chief of Politics and Laws in the Guangxi Autonomous Region very nervous. On November 15, 2001, two policemen forced Huang Jinchun into a mental hospital in Liuzhoulong, Guangxi, and declared that it was in compliance with orders from the leaders of the Provincial Public Security Office. Huang Jinchun still persisted in practicing Falun Gong while in the mental hospital. As a result, he was made to suffer by having anesthetic drugs injected into him everyday. These drugs have extremely strong side effects and always made him sleepy. It was reported that these drugs can cause severe brain damage.

We advise those who continue to follow the evil and persecute Falun Dafa to take what happened to Zhou Yisheng as a lesson and avoid their otherwise inevitable retribution.
