Call on Taiwan's Straits Exchange Foundation, the Taiwan Government and World Human Rights Organizations to Pay Attention to My Misfortune
Practitioner Xiang Lijie November 30, 2001
(Clearwisom.Net)
Taiwan's Straits Exchange Foundation, the Taiwan government, and human rights
organizations all over the world, please give your attention to Falun Gong
practitioner Xiang Lijie and her husband Yang Jingyi (Address: Zhongliao Village
Unit 71 of Qigu Town, Tainan County, Taiwan).
For practicing Falun Gong and going to Beijing to appeal, Xiang Lijie was
illegally sent to Changchun City Heizuizi Labor camp for one and a half years of
forced-labor without any legal process. In the labor camp, she endured different
types of tortures, and was then forced to be "brainwashed" and pressed
to declare giving up her practice of Falun Gong and her belief in Falun Gong's
principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." Here, Xiang Lijie
declares that all her previous verbal and written statements made under the
pressure of the labor-camp authorities that do not comply with Falun Dafa are
all invalid. The following is Xiang Lijie's declaration.
After I was released earlier, my husband, a resident of Taiwan, told me to go
to the local police station to get a "Good Resident Certificate" (a
Chinese government-required document for people who want to go aboard, including
going to Taiwan) so that I could immediately leave for Taiwan. At the police
station, they would not issue the certificate. They also said that it was not
the city government that wasn't allowing me to go to Taiwan, but the provincial
government. I asked the police why not but he couldn't answer.
My husband and I legally registered in China to get married in 1994.
According to the regulations, I am officially eligible to reside in Taiwan.
However, the Chinese government would not let me go home. Which law are they
enforcing? Falun Gong is practiced by people in more than 40 countries and is
supported in those countries. Why are the other countries not afraid of it like
the Chinese regime is? Is it wrong to teach people to be better people and to be
healthy and behave according to the principle of
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance?" If the Chinese regime truly
wants to benefit its people, then wouldn't it be better if there were more and
more good people?
All of my in-laws and relatives are hoping that I can go home as soon as
possible. I also miss my family in Taiwan. Jiang Zemin's political gang said
that we practitioners do not care about family members and others. Everyone,
please take a close look at the situation. Who is actually destroying this
family? Who is forcing our family to be separated? Taiwan's Straits Exchange
Foundation, the Taiwan government, and human right organizations around the
world, please help me resolve this current crisis. Thank you.
