The Power of Righteous Thoughts Comes from an Indestructible Belief in Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) One morning when I was sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate evil, I suddenly understood a question that had bewildered me for a long time.

Since I started eliminating evil by sending forth righteous thoughts, I had not felt the incomparable, mighty power for a long time. I thus doubted my ability of eliminating evil, although I still kept sending forth righteous thoughts. This suspicion often interfered with me and disabled me to possess the momentum and strength of suppressing and destroying the evil.

Later, I found out that I often had an everyday people's mentality when sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate evil and clarifying the truth to people. However, Fa- rectification and eliminating evil with righteous thoughts are something supernatural and we should do it from the mindset of enlightened beings. How can everyday people's thoughts command the divine side of us? I further found out that the fundamental reason I was interfered with by an everyday people's mentality was that I did not fully believe in Dafa and thus left many loopholes for the evil to take advantage.

Teacher said, ..."Because any desire you have can become an attachment and can be used by the evil..." ("Lecture on the Fa at the Washington, D.C. International Conference") The suspicion I had, whether I really had the power of eliminating evil is, in fact, because I had not dissolved myself into Dafa and I did not realize and eliminate those warped notions that are incompatible with Dafa in time. Master said in "Also in a Few Words," "Indestructible righteous thoughts toward the cosmos' Truth form benevolent Dafa disciples' rock-solid, Vajra bodies; they frighten all evil, and the light of Truth they emanate makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate. However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is." Therefore, the power of destroying evil comes from the "indestructible righteous thoughts toward the cosmos' Truth." The fact that a disciple has a rock-solid belief in Dafa and has a pure mind filled only by "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance," the principle of the cosmos, is in itself the mighty power that eliminates all evil as easily as if crushing dry weeds and smashing rotten wood.

When sending forth righteous thoughts this time, after I eliminated the warped notions in my own mind, I enlightened to this layer of Dafa principles. All of a sudden I felt that I had unlimited power. When I recited the verse of Fa-rectification [the Fa rectifies the cosmos; the evil is completely eliminated], every word was vibrating in my mind, in my body and in the universe. Without having any thoughts, I felt that the energy field surrounding me was incomparably powerful. My body became rapidly enlarged as if I was standing in the infinite universe. At that moment I came to understand what the determined belief in Dafa means. My mind was in peace and harmony, and full of wisdom. Although my celestial eye is not open yet, I knew clearly that this kind of state would certainly "frighten all evil" and "make the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate."

I also remembered my experiences of two previous times. One time, I saw the evil had set up a big display window, which had materials slandering Dafa in it, along a busy street in the downtown area. I brought truth-clarifying flyers and wanted to put them on top of the slanderous materials. However, there were a lot of passersby and the street light was particularly bright. It was difficult for me to do the job. At that time, the only thought I had was to expose the evil. I thought in my heart that, "It would be nice if the light is off." In a short while, the light really turned off. I quickly posted truth-clarifying materials and then I left calmly. My second such experience happened when I went to a residential area to distribute truth-clarifying material. All the lights on different floors in the building were turned on as soon as I stepped into an apartment complex. I thought in my mind that it would be nice if the light went off. Right after I had that thought, the whole residential area had a power outage. I took this opportunity and gave out all the material I brought with me. At that time, I did not pay particular attention to these two incidents. In my mind, I thought the two incidents just happened by chance. Now I realize that the two incidents were absolutely not coincidental. At the time when the incidents happened, I had no impure thoughts in my mind. These were exactly the miracles that Dafa displayed when our state of mind conforms to the principle of the universe.
