Three Dafa Disciples Murdered in Zhucheng City, Weifang Area, Shandong Province

1. Dafa disciple Yang Guizhen was tortured to death in Zhucheng City

Yang Guizhen, female, in her forties, was a resident of Taojialing Village of Chengguan Town, Zhucheng City. She had been illegally detained in the Zhucheng City Detention Center after being arrested in September 2000 for distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying literature. After she steadfastly refused to sign her name while being interrogated, the detention center police incited the criminal inmates to beat her up, and then handcuffed her to a metal chair to torture her for four days. During her detention, Yang Guizhen was tortured several times for refusing to cooperate with her persecutors and for going on a hunger strike to protest her illegal detention. On October 17, with no energy left and on the verge of death, Yang Guizhen fell to the floor and lost consciousness while trying to go to the restroom. Still, the detention center guards kept her handcuffed to the metal chair. In this way, this kind and innocent village woman was tortured to death.

After this atrocity, the police immediately blocked all the news, imposed a curfew on the village where Yang Guizhen had lived, and closely monitored and watched her family members. They detained Dafa practitioners who had associated with her and who were trying to get information on this case. These officials are just as Master Li has described in "Rationality:" "The actions they are now adopting in the persecution of Dafa and its students are extremely wicked and shameful, and they fear these will be exposed."

2. Ma Yanfang, a worker at the Zhucheng City Pottery and Porcelain Factory, Shandong Province, Was Murdered in a Mental Hospital

Ma Yanfang, female, about 30-years old, was a former worker at Zhucheng City's Pottery and Porcelain Factory. She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong according to rights granted by the Chinese Constitution. She was forcibly sent to a mental hospital by the followers of Jiang Zemin's terrorist group, even though her physical and mental health were normal. In August 2000, she was tortured to death for steadfastly cultivating Falun Dafa in the mental hospital.

3. Li Xianglan from Zhenjiazhuang Village, Linjiacun Town, Zhucheng City, Shandong Province, was beaten to death by the police

Li Xianglan, female, 49-years old, was illegally arrested and tortured by city and town authorities for being firm in cultivating Falun Dafa. During her detention, her whole body was covered with injuries and wounds from the beatings by the police. On the verge of death, she was released, but died around 10am April 15, 2001, the second day after being sent back home. After her death, police repeatedly threatened her family members. They would not allow them to either appeal or sue. Instead, the police tried to cover up their crimes of torture and murder.

Appendix: The criminal record of Zhucheng City Police Department's Public Security Chief, Cao Jinhui and other depraved individuals

Cao Jinhui, male, around 55-years old, is an associate chief of Zhucheng City Police Department's Public Security Division. He is the chief criminal in Zhucheng City for persecuting Falun Gong and its practitioners. His main crimes include murder, torture with instruments, and the illegal detention of Dafa practitioners.

At present, he is responsible for the torturing to death of four practitioners through extremely vicious means. When he encounters a Dafa practitioner, he will jump up to beat them without any hesitation; No one--not males, not females, the elderly or even children can escape from his beatings. He will not even spare his acquaintances. Each time when he gets drunk, he then loses control and madly beats a practitioner's face and head with his fists or the sole of his boot. The beating can last for hours. Metal chairs, tiger benches, electric batons and rubber truncheons are his usual torture instruments. In order to further torture Dafa practitioners, he also trained a group of his personal hatchet men. In addition to torturing them, these men stole the practitioners' motorcycles and extorted large amounts of money and personal property.
